I know... I know... [Mar. 3rd, 2006|11:19 am]
Man! It's been a long time! And believe me, I've been feeling it. No excuses, but I can honestly say it's been beyond my control. Yet again legalities have reared their ugly head [something that seems to plague myself and the rest of SGX on a regular basis].

Long story short, a while back I decided to get back to my roots and do a bit of travelling to boot. So, when I had the opportunity to re-unite with some long lost friends and tour eastern Europe reviving our farmyard animal display entourage "The Goat Team" I jumped at the chance [quite literaly, as I was determined to make the most of the bounce in my new Nyke ayre maxx trainers.. not to be confused with another well known brand].

So two months later and all's going well, almost too well as not only is the tour already underway, but the "hoops of fire display and free roast dinner" tickets are sold out for the next two months in advance! To make a good thing better, the crowds are loving the music we've composed to accompany the displays, which has led to the famed Lithuanian label, "Hay Dude recordings" releasing our now increasingly popular track "The Mower Is On" as a digipack enhanced 3 x2 inch CD set complete with interactive crop rotation top tips on the third disc [maximising cross market sales potential].

What can I say it sold like hot cakes! Two months later and the label has struck a major licensing deal for worldwide distribution. The dedication from the industry that this gained us was phenominal, and although I didn't see it with my own eyes I'm reliably informed that for a few hours the company we'd licensed to in the USA [name withheld for legal reasons] even had an advert flashing in bright lights above Times Square in NYC! "The Goat Team - new single - The Mower Is On - Out Now!"

Hmm, then came the downside. I didn't realise the reason for the advert only being there for a few hours until I returned home from the tour to the hugest pile of envelopes on my doormat I've ever seen. Fan mail!!!? er... no. Envelope after envelope filled with page after page of legal speak that I didn't even recognise as the english language. Seems during our absence a certain band [name withheld for legal reasons] had released a certain single [name withheld for legal reasons] that could potentialy be slighly confused with ours. Suffice to say I have had to "Cease and Desist from public dissemination and distribution of any and all sensitive communications pertaining to afformentioned legal proceedings and related sensitive matters until further notice" until things are straightned out.

But now I'm back. And I'm not going to let it get me down. On a positive note there's even the rumourings of a new Super Group Extreme track in the pipeline, with a remix that looks set to be a dancefloor smash! More news soon!

Taxi ! [Jun. 23rd, 2005|02:07 pm]
For all those that scoffed at my theory that there's a fine line between vegetables and sport... who's laughing now eh?

Proof and more proof.

A round of golf, a round of sandwiches. Remember to eat your greens.

Predicting stuff [Jun. 20th, 2005|12:23 pm]
So, the 'Prediciting the future - Beginners' evening course I've been doing has finally paid off. I got to the 4th week and was doing so well I managed to predict everything I'd learn from the following three weeks and opted out early, saving myself a grand total of £4.37 [+materials].

Other than that I've been spending most of my time over at stuffonmycat.com , a great site but I'm predicting that the amount of traffic it receives may just bring their server down. Uh oh.

okay,

so here's an apology for the complete lack of updates for a while, but i've been busy being Cilla Black. I know.. it suprised me too.. when i saw the vacancy.. but i applied and got it, and that's where i've been. in fact i still am and Cilla doesn't do any of that internet or email business, so i better stop before someone catches me.

are you ready to RSI? [Sep. 3rd, 2004|03:20 pm]

i think it could catch on... as many of you may already be aware the main reason for a severe lack of regular updates to my live journal is due to severe computer related rsi pain. so while i'm not able to use a keyboard or mouse recently, i've had more time to concentrate on the correography for supergroup extreme's upcoming live shows [details tba].. and now it all seems to have fallen into place.

so.. in case anybody out there wants to get a headstart on the "dance" moves for a bit of future crowd participation .. here they are [courtesy of the universtiy of nabraska's http://eeshop.unl.edu/rsi.html page]. good luck.. now where are those nurofen....

NASA Fax Relay System - Dec 18th, recieved 6 a.m. [Dec. 19th, 2003|08:42 pm]
[music |super groop esteem - 2 nation army]

I packed my bags last night pre-flight
Zero hour six a.m.
And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
burning out my fuse up here alone

Mars is definatley not the kind of place to raise your kids,
in fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them ...if you did
And all this science I don't understand
It's just my job five days a week

And I think it's gonna be a long long time...
