I have several reccomendations for you today, the majority of which you have no doubt already read as classics, but some that are new. I actually had too many recs today and decided to hold a few back for another time. Well... on with the show!

I don't have a lot to recommend today, however, I woke up around six this morning and found myself immersed in an amazing Remus/Sirius fic that I wanted to share. I thought I would also include another recent Harry/Severus find.

Cream Rinse by Becka
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Rating: PG-ish (however, in my opinion it goes up to R/NC-17)
Author’s Summary: Set in MWPP's fifth year, just before Christmas hols. Yes, this is a "how they got together" story. But it amuses me, and I hope that it will amuse you too.
My Summary: I enjoyed this one simply because of the desire that they show for each other. There is no unrequited love or drawn out seduction. There are two young men who realize what they mean to each other at about the same time. There is a complication, of course, in the form of the werewolf’s habit of mating for life, but that is overcome with a little caring and dedication. Very well done and so believable.


Nocturn by Tira Nog
Pairing: Harry/Snape
Rating: NC-17
Author’s Summary: Twelve years after the final battle claims his two best friends' lives, Auror Harry Potter meets his former potions teacher and learns a startling secret about Professor Snape.
My Summary: A beautiful view of a developing relationship and an original outtake on vampirism. I come to this fandom from BtVS and rarely read vampire fics outside of that fandom, but this one was simply beautiful and delightful in both Harry and Severus’ insecurities and desires. Every moment was lovely and I will read this one again.

I've spent a lot of the last month reading three beyond novel length stories by one particular author. I cannot say that the stories were good, but they were successful in dragging me into them and keeping me there. I will not be recommending any of these stories today, and I am refraining from mentioning the author as well, since she obviosuly puts a lot of work into the stories that she writes and takes pride in how they are presented.
