This has been my house in the past month and a half. On Monday I'm moving outta there, my lovely base called Nitzanim.

It looks very 'Tironut' :)

So how was the past month and a half?

great!
I just came back an hour ago from Jerusalem, we guarded all the city this week.. we slept around 4 hours a night, and guarded for 12 hours without sitting or breaks. It was hard, but it was fun. It was a little bit scary too, but the adrenaline was so high that the scary feeling fed away. We almost fought with arabs, heh.

yeah, but they got my profile down to 45..

yeah right, hehe :)
See, There are 16 soldiers in one tent.. it's a lot of people to sleep with, but you get used to it. This tent was like my room in the past month and a half., I met a lot of new people in the army, it's amazing.. and I'm going to meet a lot more in the years to come.

I'm doing fine, tired as hell, guarded in Jerusalem this week, met some crazy arabs and almost fought with them, but overall I'm ok :) what's up with you?

Wow. Gosh I would love to be out there with you all. Besides the fact that I'm three years too young, female and an American citizen. I heard the head leader of Hamas was recently assisinated, is there any truth to this? Also, are you guys the ones who have to go in to "illegal settlements" and jail the inhabitants? I apologize for so many questions, I'm just curious. Most of my family lives in Gush Etzion or the surrounding settlements, and my aunt is an active member of the women in green, so I like to know what goes on in that area. Good luck with everything Ran!

well, my unit isn't doing this. we're probably going to be in the intelligence unit, and not all of us. We just came back from Jerusalem after a week of guarding there.. I was in Abu Gosh, an arab village, and I almost fought with some arabs there.. it's a long story. Anyways, there were warnings that there'll be terror attacks this week in Jerusalem because of Yom Haatzmaut, so my base sent us there to guard. It was fun, scary, dangerous and tiring. But I enjoyed it overall.

Sounds like quite the experience. I'm familiar with Abu Gosh a little. Hopefully, the terror attacks planned for the week of Yom Haatzmaut will be prevented. Good luck and stay safe.

Oh, and btw my new base isn't too much bigger.. it's almost in the same size, but the new base is much much much better.. Better food, we're sleeping in ROOMS and not in tents (although I enjoyed the tents more), we have almost no distance with our commanders (means we can talk with them like regular people and not like they're god or something).

Plus, 90% of the soldiers in the new base are girls and only 10% are men. Yay ;D
