Dear flist, sorry about posting another icon tutorial! Making icon tutorials has been curing my boredom at the moment.

Two PS7 Full Icon Tutorials

For these icons
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

ETA: A tutorial for this icon was added:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I got a little lazy and didn't want to save seperate tutorial images, so I just combined the tutorial into one big image. Both images are under 250 kb, so it shouldn't take a long time to load. These tutorials assume you have a decent amount of knowledge of PS7 (making new layers, applying brushes, cropping, grouping layers, masking, etc.)

The Jake Gyllenhaal Icon Tutorial #2 (It's a different variation from the last JG icon I did on my last tutorial)

The Something Corporate Icon Tutorial

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The Natile Portman Icon Tutorial

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Tutorials for these icons are coming soon to a livejournal near you... maybe later tonight?
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Tutorials for these two icons are posted here:

ETA: Is anybody willing to host the big tutorial images on their web site? I opened up a new Photobucket account a two days ago just for these tutorial images and I've already used up alomost half of my monthly bandwidth. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Premium account, but if there's anybody out there who's willing to help me out with this, I'd be eternally greatful! Thank you to you guys who suggested ImageShack as an image host! I'm using them now to host the tutorial images.

Thank you so much for sharing your tutorials. :) It's big help to me, because I pretty much suck at making icons/avatars.

Have you tried hosting at imageshack.us? It's wayy better than Photobucket, I think. ;)

Those are awesome. I've never seen a tutorial for a Something Corporate icon before. Such an amazing band. And I greatly recommend ImageShack. There, to my knowledge is no limit for band with, and images have to be smaller than 1024KB. (even though it has been mentioned before, I think it needs to be again, only with a link. ^^.)

Thanks for the kind words and for the suggestion! I've just finished reading the features on the ImageShack web site, and it sounds like they have a really good deal for image hosting. So I think I'm gonna transfer all the tutorial images onto there. Thanks! :)

Your welcome. It's the least I could do to help for these amazing tutorials and brushes/textures to go along with it. =D

And just to correct a stupid spelling error in my last comment ... bandwidth*. haha. I can spell ::bllush::

soomething that might help is if you show where you got your light textures etc, and when you say 'I cropped down an image' etc, to give an idea of what size to crop it down to, would be helpful for idiots like me. Otherwise, great tutorials!

Thanks so much for writing these tutorials, I'm going to see if I can do the same thing on GIMP.

Just one thing - the Jake Gyllenhaal tutorial is the same as the first one you did, and different from the icon at the top of the post ;)
