Better get your lint rollers.
My life has become extraordinarily busy since Mouse came to visit. I'm involved in the production of "Baby with the Bathwater," a Christopher Durang show that gets better everytime we run it. I'm only in one scene, but that's probably a good thing - though I have enjoyed getting into acting again, without having ever learned how to juggle, I have a difficult time keeping a balanced schedule.
Thursdays are generally my sole reprieve, but I generally am up at 8 anyway to eat breakfast in my room and settle down to study. I'll have a light second breakfast in the dining hall before heading out to macro class, which runs from 11-12:30. I then bike up to the gym to get a work-out in and do some swimming between classes. 45 minutes later, I'm chowing down another light meal before my class on poverty and discrimination from 2-3:30. The classroom that we use is like a sauna, and I get really uncomfortable really fast, especially since I am being taught by a grad student; this is the first semester that the professor who wrote the text for the class isn't teaching it. Balls. After class I have the time that I am now using to compose this to myself. After I'm done writing this entry, I'll be reading a textbook for my eastern asian economics class, which is far and away the best class I've taken here - probably because it is really an international relations class that counts for econ majors. With that being said, it's definitely an interesting time to be majoring in economics.
I'll eat another light meal in the dining hall at 5 or so....I have to be at rehearsal by 6, and that can sometimes run on forever. Maybe after that I'll actually be able to hang out with my neighbors for more than five minutes at a time! Ah well. Soap opera filming has also been in high-gear, which is a lot of fun but completely consumes my Tuesdays. Doug's coming up to visit next weekend, which should be a lot of fun.
And thus this semester begins to fly by. Though each day is a saga unto itself, I am trying to find the good in all this passing of time. It's how we get by, no?

i just finished reading survivor by chuck palahniuk. i really enjoyed it. i found it to be much less intense than his other works, but with just as much to say. definitely not my favorite, but a good read that i would recommend. after i put it down, i decided to turn on nat geo tv, as i am wont to do. and what, you may ask, was on? a documentary about the heaven's gate mass suicide in 1997.
weird.
