I've pretty much been dwelling about this all day today. Seven years ago, someone very very special to the world was taken from us. Hideto Matsumoto, or more commonly known as hide, can be considered one of the most influential people that I've ever heard of in my life. He was not only a spectacular guitarist, who did work with X Japan, Ziltch and also some solo work; but he is also a wonderful human being and a blessing to the world. I was only made into a hide fan at the beginning of last September when my friend RayRay introduced me to jrock. At first I loved hide for his music and his talent and just his overall stage appearance.
But then I started to find out more about just how amazing hide was in his lifetime. I have to say that the best thing that I heard that hide did was that he actually gave a bone marrow transplant to one of his fans who was dying. Just the fact that he would actually do this for someone he didn't even know is so amazing. I mean, you would never hear about any american celebrity who would even take the time to give their fans an autograph, nevermind take all that time away from their lives to give them a bone marrow transplant.
And I've been thinking about this over and over today. It has to take a wonderful person to be so loved so many years after they have died. hide will always have so many who love and respect him.

Ok, so this week has been pretty crappy for mostly myself and everyone else around me. Jen's depressed and RayRay's going on her period ups and downs. *sigh* at least we all get to do something fun this weekend. My mom and aunt are coming up and we're gonna spend the day together. Jen's with Pat probably for most of today or into Sunday. And RayRay went home to get her hairs cut. Not to mention that this week has been really hard just schoolwise. First week after spring break, and I have shit to do in every subject, (but not so much to do in art right now). First I find out that my 6page draft of my english paper is due on monday, and I have most of my information but I have yet to start it. Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad if I try to work on it a little tonight. Then I found out from Ting that we had a listening journal due in music, but luckily for me he didn't collect it until the following classtime.
Then I had to find time to spraypaint my big cardboard monstrosity for art class. So on Wedensday I walk into Earl and check the times. It's about 6pm now and the paper says that the lab is open until 10. Awesome. So I get out my shit and start looking at my project to figure out what else I needed to paint on it. Then one of the lab assistants comes in and tells me that I have to leave cause the lab is going to be closing soon. I got so upset. That's FOUR HOURS that they're cutting off. Luckily again for me, the assistant let me run outside and paint quickly while she started to close up the lab. Grr... at least I got my painting done.
And so then I find out that I had a quiz in math and that he was checking homework. And I don't bring my homework to class cause he only checks it on quiz days and I had skipped Monday's class. But my teacher says that he'll check it for me next Monday. Phew. And lucky for me the quiz was really easy. Ok, so then my italian teacher piles a shitload of homework on us after I loose all my work from the lab. Great. There was a quiz in that, but I think I did fine. Italian is the least of my worries right now.
Hopefully I'll be able to get most of my work done this weekend. I did the majority of my italian homework last night, and I plan to work on my math homework and my english paper a little tonight and even moreso tomorrow. OH well, hopefully everything will start working out.
Also, Happy Birthday Tobie yesterday! He was 21 in HPRPG time and 20 in YFU time. Wow, Tobie's getting pretty old, he was only 16 when I made him and look how quickly he grew. I'm proud of my imaginary baby.
Also, if anyone knows how to make your own emotion icon set and put it into your livejournal, can someone please help me out? I have a set of emotion pics, but I don't know how to put them in my lj. Please help meee!

AAAAEEEEIIIIIII!!! Ok, so I just got back to school after going to Katsucon for the entire weekend and seeing the Psycho le Cemu concert!! Ahhh!! It was soooo much fun, I can't even describe it. Basically, me Jen and Rachel needed to stand in line for what felt like forever but turned out to be really fun. We met these three girls in the line who were from MA and they actually turned out to be really kewl. We all made a pact then that we would all make a human chain and push to the front of the VIP area (which turned out to be well worth the 50 bucks I paid for it ^^). So we had to keep waiting in line and basically we're standing by the door that goes directly to the stage. And we start hearing PLC doing a sound check. The fans of everyone but Daishi all press their ears to the door and try to look in through a peephole that was in the door. And just as I was saying, I don't even know if Daishi's really in there, Rachel practically screams, Daishi's singing!! So I like jump over someone and press my ear to the door with about like seven other people to hear Daishi singing right inside the door!! Aiee!
So we finally get to start heading inside the concert, after about 8 security guards telling us last minute things like not being able to bring bags or purses into the concert (which actually turned out to be for the better, but still). And so we make our human chain and push into the front. We get like right up against the guard rail, and squee about how close we are to the stage(like 10 feet max). But then I notice that we're like three feet away from the giant speaker. I bid my hearing goodbye as some guy comes out and introduces the band and they all come out and start playing Yume Kazaguruma (which was the costume set they were wearing also). The audience bursts out screaming and basically the three of us are doing the parapara above our heads cause there was no room otherwise. OMG, if you think PLC looks sexy in pictures, they are at least ten times more sexier in person. The concert made me like Aya a little more even, just seeing him there and in costume and everything. I tried to look up Seek's skirty shorty thing, but I didn't see much. And Aya stood up on one of the little platforms on the stage and gave everyone the finger in the middle of a song. It amused me greatly.
Then after a sick encore round of songs, the three of us all head back to our room, trying to talk to each other, but failing miserably cause our ears were ringing so badly. We all get back in the room, shower/bathe and go straight to sleep.
OK, Saturday. So we get up late for a webcomic panel. And one of the guys in our room made us miss it because he stole the bathroom when we told him that we still needed it. Grr.. >.< So anyways, we get in the line for the PLC press conference and photo shoot. We meet up with two of the three girls from the night before. My ear is still ringing like a bi-hotch at this point. So we make fun of this really scary security woman, who we dubbed the con natzi. And then we got scared of this guy next to us who was reading tentacle porn right in public. Ew >.<
So we get into the press conference. And the boys come out, they look really tired but they all look really hot without their costumes/makeup. (except i didn't care for Aya without his wig/makeup/costume so much) And so we listen as people start asking questions to PLC. It was really cute. Someone yelled out, "Sexy da ne" which means you are sexy more or less. And Daishi made the comment that we are all perverts. But that's ok. I'll admit it. So then we had to get back in line for the photoshoot. And basically after a lot of bitching that the line got fucked up, we get inside, our offerings in hand. And then we get another run down that we can't touch or talk to the band. Poo. No groping Daishi or Seek. So we ask the security guy about giving our gifts to them. Then a woman says that she has to collect them and give them to the band later. Oh well... at least I can hope that where ever Daishi is, that he has my bear.
So the line starts moving. Sooner then I think, I'm next in line. I go around the little silk screen and see the entire band sitting there, still in suits, but still so cute. They all say Hi to me and the guy behind the camera tells me to sit and smile. I feel Daishi lean in a little (aah!! I touched him!!) and I smile dumbly. The band all says thank you and I get shooed out. I obsess about how bad my piccie came out and then started to follow jen and rachel to the dealer's room.
Whee, so there was my PLC experience. But that was only one large part of what I did at the con. Here's my list of what I bought:

Yeah...so it's been a while since I've updated my lj. I guess I'll chalk it up to being busy at school and just not having the time to update this. But Jen, my roomie, just got sick so she went home today for the rest of the weekend and I have the room to myself, woo. But sadly no one is online to talk to, and my class isn't until 2pm, so now I'm bored and updating the lj. First of all, anyone from PsychoGreenSky who's reading this, I'm really sorry, that I missed my update. I've been kinda bleh about file sharing since the forum that I go to, Bye Bye reality, went down a while ago. I probably won't be able to get in an update this weekend either because I'm heading home for it and my computer isn't as fast as the network here and it would take me forever to do an update. Anyways.
So secondly, I'd like to wave at all the HPRPG peoples who friended me (and I returned the favor as well) *waves to the HPRPG peoples* Alright...so...um.....
Oh, yeah! I'm going to Katsucon next weekend!!! yaay! for those who don't know, Katsucon is a large anime convention in Arlington, VA. And me and some of my friends all got VIP tickets to the Psycho le Cemu concert!! And that's not even the best part, at the door, they're giving away free merchandise for the people who get there early. So I'm really excited for that. Not to mention it'll be my frist convention ever and then my friends and I paid to get our pictures taken with Psycho le Cemu as well!! But the sad thing is that Rachel and I are really scared about actually going in a room and standing next to our favorite member of the band. I haven't talked to Jen about this yet, she's most likely more excited then scared. But Rachel was like, "what if I throw up on Yura-sama?" It was amusing.
So, yeah...I'm going home for the weekend, which is fine by me cause I've been missing home for a while now. So...myep...maybe I'll go fiddle with my ipod or do a mini update for PGS. Laters. |
