But it's only Thursday.  Had the day off from work for Yom Kippur.  Back to work tomorrow (at least it's a half day) and then it's the weekend.  Off for Columbus Day Monday and no kids Tuesday (faculty retreat).

Today was good...took class from Joyce, ate some food, did some reading and now doing some work (or attempting to).  But I'm glad I get to see my kids tomorrow...I miss them.  Anyways...lots of TV tonight (Betty and Grey's) plus gotta catch up on last night's (ANTM, Private Practice, Pushing Daisies, Project Runway) since roomie and I went to Equus last night (the play with Richard Griffiths and Daniel Radcliffe).  It was amazing.  Lots of amazing performances plus the staging was really well done.  Of course it's not for everyone and I was surprised to see young kids there.  Guess their parents didn't know the subject matter.

Last week was a short week, which was nice. This week is short too (no school Thursday) and so is next week (no kids Monday and Tuesday, but have faculty retreat on Tuesday). I'm kinda excited about the faculty retreat because it's at the Central Park Boathouse Cafe (it was in "27 Dresses"). The week went well as did the weekend. I took 2 classes (so that's 3 hours of dancing) yesterday so I'm uber sore, but it felt good to be back in class and dancing with my peeps again. I hadn't seen Joyce and company for like 3 weeks now (at least in dance class). Then I ran a bunch of errands and then headed to the Lower East Side to have dinner with my dance peeps at The Life Cafe (a la RENT). It was fun! Slept in this morning and ran an errand. Might read for fun, but mostly chillaxin' today. Gotta store up some strength and energy for the week.

This week we have our first non-uniform day, which is nice. "What does that entail?" you might ask. It means I can wear jeans!!!! So I'm just as excited about it as I'm sure the kids are. Well back to having fun! Hope all's well. Take care and Go Bears!

P.S. At yesterday's game they had a memorial for Robert O. Briggs since it was Alumni Band Day as well. It's times like these where I wish I could've been at the game in body not just in spirit. Oh well...I deal and survive. Such is life. Bye!

Am sick.  I think it's just a cold.  Went to work yesterday when it started.  Today I went in feeling better, but still a little sick.  Went to bed uber early last night and took a nap when I got home.  Just glad the week's over and hopefully next week I'll feel much better.  I caved and bought some meds, so hopefully it will happen quickly.  Hope all's well and going anywhere in really windy and rainy weather sucks.

Made Chick-n-Broccoli Pot Pies today. They were really good. Hopefully the roomie likes them too. I recommend. If you do I used cream of chicken soup and use a 12 muffin tin but 6 also works (you just won't have dough coming over the side). Time to plan lessons for tomorrow...night!

Watching a commercial for a movie ("Bedtime Stories") that's coming out this year you yell "Go Bears!" because you see the main character is wearing a navy blue shirt with the Golden Bear outline under a flannel plaid shirt....yeah I know I'm crazy.  Deal with it!  HAHA!  Back to being confused while watching "Heroes."  (So glad it's back)

Went well.  I was a little nervous but I did well for the most part.  The parents are really nice and it was nice to meet them. Some of the parents were nice enough to introduce themselves to me instead of just ignoring me and leaving me to be a fly on the wall.  I'm pooped after pulling a 13 hour day at school (that doesn't count commute time) so I'm off to bed.  Night!

My lead teacher had an emergency today and so I had the kids to myself.  I thought it would be until around 11am but it ended up being until 1:30pm.  It went well enough.  Specialists taught most of the day and the kids were good for me.  Unlike my first solo day teaching experience back in Fall '06.  Curriculum night tomorrow which means tomorrow's going to be a long day (7:30am-8pm) at work.  I'm talking about a few things, which is nice.  Gotta get to work.  Talk to you later.

The first full week's done!  It went well and even though I'm tired, I still love my job.  It's nice to finally be working and doing something I love since I've been working towards this for quite a while now.  The kids are so cute in their blazers and jumpers/skirts...lol!
