Still 'classy' 80-year-old Vegas stripper keeps going

Uh, it must have been a slow news day.

Mom and baby came home today. They named him Thomas James after their fathers. I like to call him TJ.

Lauren is doing really well despite having a C-section three days ago. She's moving around. She walked up the steps with no problem.

Her husband, Derek, is still acting like a child instead of like he has a child. All he talks about is going out with his friends and partying. Last night, Lauren was in pain and TJ was irritable (he got circumsized) but Derek was out getting drunk with his high school buddies. He needs to step up. Lauren can't raise a baby by herself.

My sister Lauren had her baby boy! As of now, he is not named. He was a healthy baby at 8 pounds 3 ounces and 20.5 inches long. He was breech so Lauren had to have a C-section but all went well. Her blood pressure was high (which was why she was induced) but it was controlled with medicine. No other complications. 

At least regarding the baby. Lauren's husband, Derek was deployed in Iraq and tried to fly home in time for the birth. He left Iraq on the fourth. He went from Iraq to Kuwait, was stuck in Kuwait due to sandstorms, to Germany, to Cincinnati, to Toledo during a tornado warning. He was four hours too late. If it had been a natural birth he would have been there. But he's here and that's all that matters. He'll be here for about three weeks then he has to go back.

Lauren will have to stay in the hospital for 72 hours. I can't wait til they come home. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I didn't want to hand him back!
