I bought myself a very festive red vest and green turtleneck today. Once I give myself a combover, I will be ready for christmas!

My new favorite thing to do when people are taking pictures is to make a really mad face, it is pretty much the greatest. I suggest you try it. There will be all these happy people, then there you are, very angry at something!

I went to a kings game last week and had a great time.

I really enjoy going to games because I am able to be as loud as I want, and everybody finds it acceptable. In fact, it is encouraged!

My favorite part the other night was yelling "Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!!" when the cameraman put two ladies wearing all green up on the big screen.

Well it's been a while, livejournal. I know I said I'd call, but you know how things get, what with work and chores and stuff. Yeah, I have that money I owe you, but I think I lost your address. Wait what was that? Sorry, you're breaking up and I cant understand you...cshhh cssshhhhhh.

Dudes, I'm moving to a sweet awesome house in Sacramento! It's sweet because it is a victorian style house in a nice neighborhood, and awesome because my two old roommates, Tall Crazy Brian and Dan the Minivan are moving nearby. Not together though. But still: awesome.

I just started packing for the move last night. I think it is sort of fun to pack everything at the last minute, because it is more exciting that way. You can pretend it's like this crazy race, where you have to get things in boxes and find ancient relics. Also, you can be on a team called the "Silver Snakes" and talk to this giant head thing called "Olmec." Unfortunately you cant win, because nobody ever wins on Legends of the Hidden Temple. Wait, what was I talking about?

As I packed up my stuff this morning, I came across my old yearbook, and I thought I'd share a note from it with you guys, since it made me laugh.

"Blair-

I cant believe this year is already over! I'm glad that you are going to UC Davis and maybe i'll see you in the big crowds of people. You are always making jokes and I think that you are so funny, except I remember that time last year when I almost wrote a history paper because I believed you were serious..."

Haha.

So, what are you guys up to?

Picnic day was great.

Alex 1.0 woke me up at 7am, texting me that it was "picnic day!!" Then i was drunk by 11am, and then back home, asleep by 10pm. Then alex 1.0 called me, to wake me up for the second time that day, around 11:45pm or so. Yeah that sounds about right.

Cheers to picnic day and my personal picnic day alarm clock!

Well New Year's Eve was certainly fun. I spent most of the time getting drunk, which was fairly easy with my horrendous loss of alcohol tolerance during the last few months in Sacramento.

I recently got a job helping kids with disorders in the autism spectrum. I actually havent started yet, but I think it will be interesting. Also, the $14 an hour will be much better than the $0 an hour that i'm earning right now.

Plus, once i get the money, then i can work on raising my alcohol tolerance back up. It's a plan.

I'm always amused when I watch television around the golden globes, emmys, etc. because television shows and the news have "guest experts" that talk about the people who might win the award. What exactly are these guest experts credentials? I expect that they have to be over 105% but under 125% gay and watch a minimum of 100 hours of tv a week. Also, maybe they have a fauxhawk, I dont know. My point is, anybody could do that job, so maybe somebody could send me a check for pointing that out.

I've started drinking soy milk, because I think i'm allergic to regular milk. Also I dont like regular milk. Actually, I dont like soy milk either, which is why I really bought chocolate soy milk. The important part is that it tastes just like chocolate milk, which I like.

This Wednesday I am going to be in Davis, and I'm gonna be at the G street Pub for some Pabst drinking, and I hope to see you there.

Oh yeah, and I got a car. It's a 2003 Ford Focus, and it has a secret jet propulsion system in the trunk sort of like the car in the men in black movie. But with fewer bells and whistles. And more hipster music.

Also, this "My Humps" song by the Black Eyed Peas reminds me of Will Ferrell and Cheri Oteri doing their cheerleader skit on SNL.

I just imagine them singing it and doing silly dances.

Yesterday i went downtown, and happened to see this lady that looked like a turtle. I was like "Dang, she looks like a turtle!" Then she stuck her tongue out really slowly, turned to the side, and drove her "shell" of a car slowly down the road.

Dang, she looked like a turtle.

The worst is when you need to go to the bathroom really badly, and have to use the public restroom at borders.

Then you go in and there's a guy in the only sitdown toilet. You kind of wait around for a little bit, hoping that he'll finish up quickly, but nope, he's in there for the long haul. You can tell, because you hear him spit into the toilet he's sitting on.

So after dancing around for a little while you leave the bathroom to find someone who works there, and they say that's the only bathroom.

But there is a women's restroom.

So you ask the lady to check and see if anybody is in there. Nope! So you go in there, and man, that's a relief.

Then a lady comes in and you're like oh crap now what do i do.

Because if you leave when they're leaving you're caught. Also, if someone comes in when you're leaving, there's bound to be trouble.

So you take a chance and run out of there. And *phew*, you made it.

But the real question is, in your hurry did you remember to flush the toilet and wash your hands?

Now that I'm back in school, I feel more justified when reverting back to my old college habits. Now i can make macaroni and cheese without milk and avoid responsibilities as long as possible!

I am at the height of 19th century fashion at all times as well.

Man, i'm down to the last bit of money in my bank account. How'd that happen?

Luckily i've survived off these microwave dinners for a month!

But i did get my license and next up is a car and a job. Egads.

I have this big test coming up in January, the CSET, which is an in depth subject matter competency exam, specifically in history. It is divided up into 3 sections, and i am taking the American History and Geography section. The other sections i'll take later. So i've been going through all my old college stuff to prepare. Man, i'm sort of embarrassed how little work i did while in college. I probably should've tried harder, but i still graduated.

Whatever. This test is going to be sorta tough.

But it it is also tough to just sit and study, so here is my latest art project. Partway through i got the idea to save a few different versions so that you can see the steps i took along the way. I think it's kind of neat, although i might've saved the pictures too small. Oh well.

The final version:

Sometimes a deal is just too good to pass up. When said deal involves lots of spinach and cheese, then you should probably pass it up anyway.

Last week my mom went to Safeway and found "Ethnic Gourmet" microwave meals on sale. They were marked down from $5.79 to $0.37, so my mom bought 20 of them. As with all receipts from Safeway, my mom's sales were totalled at the bottom. Yep, total savings of $60.00.

So now, while i have no room in my freezer, i have wealth of microwaveable Cuban and Indian cuisine. Perhaps enough to bury a man. Some of them are chicken and spices, others are spinach and cheese. Others are chicken and spinach. Man, people eat the darndest things.

As a conclusion, an accurate representation of my freezer that is in need of some "Ethnic Cleansing."

Mmmmm, ethnic gourmet cleansing.

Living in downtown sacramento is interesting.

My apartment is above a domino's pizza. While i dont ever smell pizza cooking, sometimes i like to lay down with my ear to the floor and listen to the workers downstairs. I like to guess what they're saying, but i'll bet it's just the usual boring work conversations about star wars. One time i heard a baby down there, and that was sort of weird, but i live in a weird area.

The area is mainly weird because the primary population is either homeless, in a gang, or homeless and in a gang. Generally i dont go outdoors at night, unless i'm drunk, but really you cant expect me to make good decisions while in a state of inebriation, or as non scientists say it, "Having fun."

After living in davis and roseville for my whole life sacramento definitely is showing me a different perspective. But really, it isnt bad at all. Mainly because i'm a block away from emily and fairly close to the bars. And what more could any man want than a lady and beer?

Maybe burritos.

I've taken the last hour or so to finish up a few more art projects.

Each of these took somewhere around 4 hours, although some took less time, and some took more. I made each in photoshop, and while i have illustrator, i cant figure it out enough to have the familiarity that i do with photoshop.

The reason why i made all these is because i had no internet for two weeks. Now i'm going to print and mount these on foamcore, and decorate a wall in my apartment with them. My hope is to make about 20, so if you have any pictures i might like, send me a link or email them to me at blair.baldwin@gmail.com

Next time i'll talk about sacramento, and why i have so many crazy neighbors.

(dan's face is still a work in progress...i'm not quite happy with it yet)

And some more! )

I still have some more that i'm working on, but if you dont see yourself in any of these, let me know, or give me a good picture, and i'll do one of you. I like group photos, bright colors and EXCITEMENT. Enjoy.

I think maybe on the next one, i'll post a step-by-step version because that might look neat.

Things are good in sacramento, but i dont have much time to update tonight. Instead i will share with you some of the art projects i've created. I've made about 8 in this style, but i'm still working on the finishing touches. Hopefully you can all tell who the people are. Enjoy!

Also, if you want a copy of the actual .psd file for your own use, let me know.

Man, how ironic. Today someone stole my bike, and instead of being upset, i wondered "Hey, i wonder if dan took my bike?"

This is mainly because dan has stolen 5 bikes since i've lived with him. How terrible.

That being said, the loss of most material goods does not bother me. The loss of my computer would leave me inconsolable, but other stuff can be replaced. Plus my bike chain always fell off, so HA! take that, suckers. That's what they get for stealing a lemon of a bike.

Besides having a terrible day, i'm still in a good mood. Take THAT, bad guys!

Now i just have to figure out how to get around town.

I helped this old guy at work today and during the course of our conversation he informed me that people get old and die to make room for the next generation.

Coming from a guy who seemed in his late 80's with eyes that looked in different directions and 9 fingers, i think he made a good point. Or at least he appeared to have had enough experiences to base his theory on.

That being said, i think he is the hustler of the davis rest home, as i saw him charge another 80+ year old man $10 to cut out pieces of paper. Because "time is money."

Things must look different at that age. I wonder what i'll be like. Maybe a hustler at the rest home, or at least an old ladies man. OR maybe i'll make crazy statements, because i know they'll make younger generations think too much about life.

Suckers.
