Original Request:
I keep getting logged out. When I do log back in and get a welcome screen if I try to navigate anywhere else in livejournal, I am shown as logged back out again and prompted to enter my information again.
Diagnostics: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3

ok, i did all of what was on that list. now sometimes it will log in for a page, most times it will not stay logged in. i updated my plug-ins, i uninstalled my old browser and reinstalled the newest version of it and it STILL will not log me in properly.

i've looked at so many things trying to fix this and now i can't even get the log in field to accept the information i submit. it just won't complete the action at all. i have a paid account and this is seriously ridiculous that i can't even access basic pages on livejournal. if i try to browse without logging in, i reach an age restriction page and then it won't accept when i click on that either so i can view the page. i'm 25. i am definitely at least 18.

The browser you are using, FireFox 3.6.3, is very out of date and could be contributing to this problem. Upgrading to the latest version of FireFox, or using an alternate browser such as Chrome may help resolve this problem.

i updated firefox last night, like i already said, to the newest version which is firefox 13. that did not work. i also just tried on google chrome and get the same issue. I CANNOT STAY LOGGED IN. i have noticed on the requests board there seem to be several people with this log-in problem recently. maybe, just maybe it's not just me and what i'm doing. i have resorted to trying to look at the page source to look at the code for the page but i don't know enough about html code to be able to gauge functionality for cookies or whatever this problem is.

ok, so i saw your answers to a few of the similar requests and went to the HughesNet support board. what they said to do doesn't seem to be helping either.
you said it had something to do with HN using cached pages to access livejournal. if i map the IP address for livejournal so that the correct domain and IP will be accessed, will that solve the caching problem? or do i need to specify a different DNS in my settings? so far it seems that only livejournal is effected so i'd prefer not to change too much to my general settings if i can specify livejournal directly.
would i need to do this for multiple lj pages or just the index (livejournal.com) if i'm going to need this to continue to work when i log in so that i remain logged in.

it seems to be logging in on chrome now. why won't it log in on firefox? i updated it to firefox 13 already so it's not outdated. i can log in using firefox on my friend's computer so i need to figure out the problem. if it's javascript, there are no more updates for my computer, is there a userscript i can use that would do what javascript does on lj?

Thank you for your report. Other people are also experiencing this problem, and are all using the same Internet Service Provider, Hughes Net, which you also appear to be using. We believe that your ISP is serving cached versions of pages, causing you to repeatedly see the logged out version of a page even though you have logged in.
We have contacted Hughes Net to notify them of this problem, and they have requested that affected individuals contact them to attempt to troubleshoot the issue. You can contact them directly through a variety of methods found at http://customercare.myhughesnet.com/phone.html.
