Summary:Tablet login diverting to home page

My tablet cannot now login to LJ in either mobile or full screen version. I cannot enter my username or password - if I click on either entry box instead of opening the text entry keyboard the page just reloads to the LJ.com homepage. I've cleared cache, cookies and history but no change.

Using Android Froyo with all patches up to date on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 (PT 1010), and Dolphin HD browser.

Previously have had no problem on the site on this device. Problem started this morning. All other web sites are functioning normally.

Thank you for your report and I am sorry for the inconvenience. We've reported this situation to our engineering team for investigation.

In the meantime, you can access the correct login links if you view the site in landscape instead of standard portrait view. (You may be able to switch this by simply turning your phone on its side.) Zooming out may also help.

Alternatively, you may wish to try logging in on our mobile version of the site, at http://m.livejournal.com, since the login will also work on the full version of the site.

Thanks for the reply, coffeechica. I have further tested the tablet today, and thought you should know that if I try to go to the mobile version, the only page that will load is one saying that there is no equivalent page to the page I am trying to open, and to return to the normal browser version.

If I am using the normal browser version (full screen) any attempt to click on the login entry boxes to enter my user name or password in portrait mode still reloads the livejournal.com home page, instead of opening the keyboard for text entry.

However, your suggestion to try the browser in landscape did let me access the login text boxes and I was able to login - THANK YOU!

Hope the above helps your team resolve the underlying issue - not sure why it's gone wrong now, when it was fine a few days ago. Cheers, Mere
