|Summary:||can't delete my community|
I'm trying to delete a community of mine, but for some reason when I follow the normal procedure of going to account, then using the drop down menu to find the community name and delete it, the name of the community isn't there even though the community hasn't been deleted. I really want to delete this community as I don't use it anymore. What can I do? Any feedback would be really appreciated, thanks.

Thank you for responding back.
LiveJournal implemented a new role of community management in addition to maintainers and moderators. Communities will now have an Owner -- the Owner is the only maintainer of the community who is now able to remove other maintainers, delete the community, or rename the community. Regular maintainers can still perform all of the other tasks they could previously, including adding maintainers, changing style settings, inviting members, banning/freezing/screening content, and so on.
I have marked you as the Owner. You can now delete your community by following the instructions at [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=16].
