Summary:Entry datestamp update not reflected in "Latest Month" calendar
Original Request:
I often make a private entry and edit it bit by bit, before making it public or friends-locked once it's finished, on a later date. Today I noticed that an entry originally made (private) on 1st Jan, but made visible to my flist on the 14th, is still showing up for 1st Jan in the "Latest Month" calendar in my sidebar. Yet when I go to Archive view, the entry shows up correctly as having been made on the 14th:

I've since made the entry public, but this hasn't changed the "Latest Month" calendar, nor could I find anything in the FAQs to address this.

Thank you for your report. It sounds as though you have encountered a known issue with the Archive view where it does not update immediately when entry dates are edited. This issue has been reported to LiveJournal developers for investigation, and any updates will be posted in the lj_releases community [http://lj_releases.livejournal.com/profile], which you are welcome to watch.

In the meantime, the Archive view should update correctly once you have posted a new entry to your journal. I apologise for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it seems there's another dimension to this - friends are now telling me that the affected post isn't showing up on their friends list pages, and that problem hasn't been fixed by my having made a new entry since.

The Friends Page only displays posts up to 1000 posts made in the last two weeks. The post that's not showing up was posted to LiveJournal's servers on January 1st. Please read the above-mentioned FAQ for more information.
