Hi,

I seem to be having problems accessing images stored at

http://pics.livejournal.com/merlinwon/pic/

I am friends with the user, and can view posts.. however all images simply are not loaded...

When I attempt to view the images by copying and pasting the image urls into my browser, I get a page that says...


Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /merlinwon/pic/"Image Name" on this server.

Thank you for your report, and I apologize for the delay in providing you with a response. The message you are receiving when you attempt to view an individual image would indicate that the image itself or the gallery that contains it is set to a security level that you do not have access to see. Note that simply being listed as a friend of the journal does not mean that the image has not been filtered to a custom level.

Can you please ask your friend to check their security settings for their Scrapbook and ensure that you are included in whatever security settings they have in place for their images and galleries? If they are certain that you should be able to see these images but can't, please request that they open their own Support ticket about the issue.

I've let them know, although they have stated they've checked permissions before and found no problems.

i just double checked again. you are listed as member of family settings and all my scrapbook files are for family viewing!! There is no problem here

I apologize for the delay in responding to your request. There is a known bug where sometimes entering certain usernames will instead cause "vorelalt" to be added. It appears that your username is one such account which is having this problem. This issue has been forwarded to LiveJournal developers.

I'd almost given up hopes of ever seeing the images. ;-/ Hopefully the devs can get this issue ironed out.
