You will see the "Access is denied. You do not have access rights to view this entry" error message when you try to view an entry that you don't have permission to access. You can learn about entry security settings on LiveJournal at [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=24].

If the entry you are trying to view is in a user's journal, you will need to ask that user to add you to his or her Friends list. Should you need it, [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=305] suggests some ways to contact LiveJournal users. Please note that even if you are on someone's Friends list, you may not have permission to view some entries in that person's journal, such as entries filtered to some custom friends groups or private entries.

If the entry you are trying to view is in a community, you will need to join the community before you can view it. Instructions for joining a community are available at [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=101].
