Summary: Comments are screwy, I can't fix them, not a Style issue
Original Request:
Unless there's been a change to the system style, this is not a style issue.

My comment email says:

_refraction (_refraction) replied to your LiveJournal post in which you
said:

> homosexuality? You want to talk about homosexuALITY?

> ...

> Show me your scriptures. Show me how you justify condemning

> people.</i>

Their reply was:

Erm... I know this will probably end up being more annoying than
helpful,
    but...

I noticed that your comments button said "1 has spoken" before I
clicked
here... I've just spent way too long trying to fix that in my own
journal
    to try not to help.

    <a href='http://www.livejournal.com/users/howto/16395.html'>Pluralize
your comment links by clicking here...</a>

If you did that on purpose, my sincerest apologies.

Oh, and that *points to your actual postuntitled* is a great thing to
    read.

But clicking on the link:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/technodummy/216116.html?thread=516148

shows me:
Comment by screened user
(no subject) -

If I choose the Mass Action of Unscreen, I get:

Unscreen Multiple Comments
Error

You have not selected any comments.

My userinfo has my "Which replies do you want screened by default?" set to None.

They reposted the comment here:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/technodummy/216116.html?thread=516404

But I still can't view the original.

Bug?

LiveJournal support volunteers have investigated the situation you described, and have confirmed that you have encountered a bug in the Component S2 style.

You mentioned in your request that the user '_refraction' "reposted" their comment in a different thread of the same post. What happened is that the user '_refraction' posted a comment to your post, deleted it, and then posted another comment (most likely with similar content). You received two e-mail notifications, the first with links to a now deleted comment, the second with links to the second (visible) comment.

The bug that you encountered is that the Component style is incorrectly displaying the message "Comment by screened user" when in fact you are looking at a thread that doesn't exist because the comment has been deleted. You can confirm this by switching your style to something other than Component and then viewing the thread, if you wish. As you stated, you encountered an error when you attempted to unscreen comments for the post, because there were in fact no comments to be unscreened.

The author of the Component style has been notified about this bug so it may be corrected. I apologize for any inconvenience you have encountered as a result of it.

Thanks for your detailed reply.

It's always good when bugs get squished.
