Summary: multiple tags search ('and') does not show all entries with those two tags
Original Request:
I was trying to search one of my communities for entries which have two existing, well-used tags, and despite the FAQ about tagging stating clearly:

>>View the last 1000 entries with BOTH tag1 AND tag2 at one of these URLs: <<

from what I can see only 100 entries are displayed, and I know for a fact the two tags I searched for have more entries under them both than that; in fact, I have found one such post clearly tagged with both tags and not displayed on the search for those same tags.

If you could fix this glitch so more than the last 100 entries tagged with two tags are displayed on multiple tag searches that would be swell, since it's a ridiculously small number and not very useful to high volume comms or journals.

(Also, the limit of 400 latest posts displayed under any tag is also ridiculously small, and makes tagging virtually obsolete since older entries simply can't be found via well-used tags, which is why in comms like mine I have to rely on multiple tag searches to even be able to find older posts. With this new display limit that option has been rendered pretty impossible as well, making tags even more obsolete. Which is why I'm asking you to look into it and if possible find a fix that adds usability to tags, rather than take it away from them.)

Thank you for your time in advance.

I apologize for the delay in responding to your request. So we can look into this, please provide us with a URL where only 100 results are displayed when more are present.

I believe it had been this: http://gleefinders.livejournal.com/?mode=and&tag=character%3A%20kurt%20hummel,theme%3A%20illness%2Finjury

but now it seems to display 103 results (f-locked and not), and the one result dated before that 103rd one still isn't listed (and thus, I presume, neither are any other previous such searches), as you can see:

http://gleefinders.livejournal.com/?skip=100&mode=and&tag=character%3A%20kurt%20hummel,theme%3A%20illness%2Finjury -- last entry is dated April '11

http://gleefinders.livejournal.com/98462.html -- entry with both tags dated January '11, not listed above

I have no idea what to conclude from this, other then to once again ask you to please fix this weird glitch and make searching through tags properly possible and thus useful.

P.S. I just noticed that the tag 'character: kurt hummel' has ~1400 posts under it, so now I suspect the problem is that the system isn't searching through all the posts under it for posts with another tag, but just under the last 1000. I find this extremely frustrating, and the description in the FAQ completely misleading.

Please help stop making tags less useful, as they're barely useful for comms such as mine as they are, when they could be so very very useful indeed.

I'm sorry it has taken so long to provide you a response.

We have determined the behavior that only shows 100 entries when viewing multiple tags (either 'Tag1 or Tag2' or 'both Tag1 and Tag2') is correct behavior and that the FAQ is listing an incorrect limit. We have updated the FAQ to reflect this limit so that it no longer is listing 1000 entries as the limit in these conditions and now correctly lists 100 entries instead.

Wow, glad I could get you 10 support points for removing a single zero from the FAQ and not making any effort whatsoever to address the issues which I raised of such a low limit of posts displaying under two tags.

Please don't be surprised that I am not only underwhelmed but also severely disappointed as I have pointed out the problem from the start and I see no reason whatsoever why it would have taken this long for it to be addressed and all its implications ignored.
