Status: closed (5 points to trixieleitz)
Summary: not getting e-mail
Original Request:
Hi. I don't remember my password (because pass rules are unnecessary and overcomplexed, 4 different characters, more than 6 symbols)

can you manually send password reset form to my e-mail?
or what?

The password email system is entirely automated, so LiveJournal staff and volunteers can't reset your password.

For instructions and information on resetting your password, please see the attached FAQ.

I try either
your password?
fields and
Lost your username?

but on neither of them I'm offered to answer a secret question.

Anyway, so you're implying there's no chance I'm getting my account back even though I have an access to the email with which the account was registered with?
That's outrageous!

If you have access to the email address registered to your account, then you can get access to your LiveJournal account, by using the form you described to request a password reset message to be emailed to you. To make this request, complete the CAPTCHA, enter your username in the "Lost your password" section of the form at [http://www.livejournal.com/lostinfo.bml], and click "Proceed". If this is successful, there will be a confirmation message. If an password reset message was sent but you do not receive it in your email, please see [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=115] for troubleshooting information.

The secret question is a different and separate method for regaining access to your LiveJournal account. To learn how to use the secret question, please see this page: [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=287].
