Summary: Can't use the 'submit comment' button on my linux
Original Request:
I have an older Linux (Ubuntu) computer, and when I try and comment while on it, Live Journal doesn't let me. I can type up the comment, but no attempts at hitting the 'submit' button get acknowledged. I do use an older version of Firefox and haven't been able to get my computer to install an update version of it.
Diagnostics: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:8.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0.1

Thank you for your report and I apologize for the trouble you are experiencing. This issue has been reported by a number of Firefox users and LiveJournal's developers are currently investigating the issue as it is not affecting all users.

Other users have reported that they are able to use the new comment form by disabling the Greasemonkey add-on (or specific scripts within the add-on). If you are currently using Greasemonkey, can you please try this and let us know if the problem continues?

The comments work fine on firefox in the windows partition of my computer, so it is likely that it's just because it's such an older version of Firefox on my linux one (around like, 4.0 I think). I don't think I have any add-ons on it, but I will check next time I use it. Comments did work previously with the old style on that version, but I also don't use the linux partition very often so it's not a big concern for me.

Thank you for your response.
