Known Issues
General:- Syndicated Accounts are not currently updating. LiveJournal's staff are aware of this problem and are working on a resolution.
- LiveJournal's Abuse Prevention Team is investigating many reports of spam bot accounts. You can report these accounts using this form. If one of these bot accounts has added you to their friends list, please know that this will not give them access to your protected entries.
- If you are not receiving email notifications, please see the troubleshooting information here. You may also wish to report the problem to your email provider. You can also subscribe to be notified through the LiveJournal Inbox in addition to email.
- If your journal, Friends page, or other page on the site is not appearing to update properly, please clear your browser cache and see if that resolves the problem before opening a request.
Styles & Customization
- If your journal's style has changed on its own, DO NOT attempt to change it back or you will lose all of your settings. Your customizations should reappear within the next day. If they do not, please open a support request and we will investigate.
Mobile Features:
- Voice Post calls using access numbers outside the United States will be disconnected after 60 seconds. If this happens, your Voice Post will still be posted with the default Voice Post security level (FAQ 183). LiveJournal staff members are working with the third-party vendor that provides the voice post numbers in order to resolve this issue.
Entries:
- LiveJournal staff have been investigating reports of comments disappearing on entries. It is our belief that the comments are not actually missing, but simply not displaying when the page is created. In most cases, the missing comments have reappeared after a short while.
- A recent code release unintentionally altered the behavior of the Post an Entry page so that community entries will default to Members-Only if you have your journal's minimum security set as Friends-Only. This problem has been reported to LiveJournal's developers. In the meantime, you can change the security of your entry from Members-Only to Public using the security level dropdown while composing your entry.
- The combination of lj-cuts and aligned text in entries composed in the Rich Text Editor can result in problems such as multiple lj-cuts appearing where there should only have been one, some content not being cut that should have been cut, and </div>s being added to the entry. LiveJournal developers are aware of these problems and are working to resolve them.
- Users who have selected the "Bind to IP Address" option at login are having difficulty using ScrapBook. Developers have been notified and will be investigating the issue. If you are experiencing problems logging in to ScrapBook and you have this option enabled, please try temporarily disabling it as this may resolve your problem in the short-term.
