Known Issues

• Some users are receiving a "(No answers)" message when attempting to view detailed results to polls that have responses. This issue will be fixed in LiveJournal's next code release. In the meantime, you can view detailed poll results by opening the "View Answers" link in a new tab or window in your browser.


• The feature that allows you to update your Facebook profile when you post an entry in your LiveJournal is currently broken, following a change on Facebook's end. LiveJournal developers are aware of this problem and are investigating.


• Users using Firefox 3 have reported problems creating links in the Rich Text editor. Developers are investigating this issue, but in the meantime, you can create links in your journal entries by using the HTML editor.


• Some users are having trouble with PayPal payments being properly credited by LiveJournal after payment is processed by PayPal. This problem is happening for users who are using the FireFox browser with the NoScript extension. Using a different web browser, or temporarily removing the NoScript extension when making a payment via PayPal prevents this issue from happening. Please note that just disabling NoScript or allowing LiveJournal and PayPal does not always prevent this problem from happening. If you have already made a payment via PayPal and it has not been credited by LiveJournal, please open a support request to have your order credited.


• Statistics for Cyrillic-services users are not working completely at this time. This is due to a trouble at our data center, which has mostly been recovered, but is not wholly resolved yet. We hope that next week all of the problems will be resolved and statistics will return to normal.


• Voice Post calls using access numbers outside the United States may be disconnected after 60 seconds. If this happens, your Voice Post will still be posted with the default Voice Post security level (FAQ 183). This is not an issue with LiveJournal, but with a third party vendor. LiveJournal Staff are working closely with the vendor to resolve this issue in as timely a manner as possible.


• If you are not receiving email notifications, please see the troubleshooting information here. You may also wish to report the problem to your email provider. You can also subscribe to be notified through the LiveJournal inbox in addition to email.


• If your journal, Friends page, or other page on the site is not appearing to update properly, please clear your browser cache and see if that resolves the problem before opening a request.
