I'm a rare book librarian, who has lived in Chicago all her life save for college. I'm a historian of children's literature who curated the Newberry Library's Fall 2008 exhibit, "Artifacts of Childhood: 700 Years of Children's Books". I'm also a Jewish genealogist with over 13,000 people in my family tree database. I love to talk to people and they seem to enjoy talking to me. Oh, I was born deaf, never learned sign language, speak English perfectly well and have two cochlear implants.
