Kiona Smith-Strickland's Journal

Name:
Kiona Smith-Strickland
Birthdate:
6 March 1986
I am a freelance writer, an avocational anthropologist, and the editor of Blood Magazine.

Although I write on a wide range of topics, I have a particular interest in anthropology, emergency response and public safety, forensics, gender and equality, history, issues affecting veterans and military spouses, science, and technology.

My fiction tends toward horror and slightly dark sci-fi and fantasy, but I am not particularly fond of genre pigeonholes. I tell stories.

In my spare time, I am also a dedicated Search & Rescue volunteer, a casual but enthusiastic World of Warcraft player, and a slightly silly fan of zombie horror. My favorite things in the world are good stories and old cemeteries.
