Writer's Block

A lot of characters in kids' books have it pretty good, from calling the start of the wild rumpus to ordering room service from their hotel suite. If you could be any character from children's literature, who would you be?

Hmmm... if we're talking classic children's literature, then my first answer would probably be Peter Pan (either the classic by JM Barrie or the re-imaginings by Barry/Pearson). The flying thing just

I actually wasn't terribly fond of much of the "mischief" type of children's literature as a kid; it made me terribly nervous to see/hear about Karlsson-on-the-roof doing things that were Absolutely N

Pippi Longstocking! She's one of the coolest characters ever. Astrid Lindgren, her creator - God bless her memory - was a genius and it's a shame she never won the Nobel Literature Prize. Pippi Longst

I would be Harry Fucking Potter. That kid has it made. Constant adventure, amazing friends, and a fiesty redhead. All very cool. Besides, he has something we all crave...recognition...
