On December 11th, 2007 Haven and Diva's Nightclub are pleased to host the legendary Martin Atkins and his TOUR:SMART seminar. Martin Atkins is the founder and president of Invisible Records and Underground Inc distribution, which is arguably the largest independent artist/label network in the world. He currently tours with his band Pigface, and has performed, toured, and recorded with the likes of Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, P.I.L., and many more. Martin's new book, "TOUR:SMART", is considered by many top-flight musicians to be the ultimate resource guide for touring acts.
The seminar will run from 6p - 9p, and is free to attend - please stay after the seminar for Haven (as always 18+ $7, 21+ $5), which will feature Martin Atkins wearing his DJ hat, alongside resident dj addambombb... he'll be spinning some brand new stuff from the Pigface and Invisible studios, as well as unheard tracks and exclusive mixes from favorite artists!

A few people have asked for different formats, and YouTube seems to be the (lowest?) common request, so I've started adding them to our channel there- as well as Vimeo, Metacafe, Revver, Virb, and a bunch of others. what a fun month this has been! (and this despite the probs i'm having with my albatross car!) i am always glad to have the opportunity to visit different parties and share music and energy with different dancefloors. it's also great to get out and see my friends that are further away! thanks so much to everyone who came out and danced the nights away - and many thanks to dani, natasha, and patrick for these opportunities! in fact, there are a lot of people i owe thanks to - but i wouldn't have been able to do this at all if it weren't for wonderful and caring friends like henry and melissa, ru, heathyr and dink, brian, marna, & tim. i hold myself in deepest gratitude to them for their help and hospitality!
tonight dj Znuh will be out at Haven, and i can't wait... new CXS to spin, too... there's a lot more to look forward to in '07! :D

hi all!
thanks so much to everyone who came out for the Masquerade Ball, and made our Resurrection Day such an amazing celebration!!!
the costumes this year were just amazing, and everyone just looked so great!
tonight we have our bulgarian friend DJ Shunt joining the residents for one more time at Haven before he leaves new england again... he wore us out on the dancefloor in december, and we're very excited to have him return!
Haven's 10 year anniversary is just around the corner, on february 21st, and it's going to be an incredible night! the party will feature a freak spectacular including performances by the Enigma (the all over puzzle tattooed guy) and Tyler Fire, and we're flying Haven co-founder DJ Christopher "home" to spin an old school set with us! there'll be an abundance of brouhaha all night long, as Haven celebrates 10 years of DECADancE!

My band, You Shriek will be playing a very special set at ceremony on December 26th. We've decided to call these our "Electric" sets. We've broken down a bunch of songs and brought them into a new format. We only really do these shows on pretty special occasions.

hi all!
doesn't look like snow to me... ;)
thanks to everyone who came out and made the Pirate's Ball such a ridiculously great time! pirate bowling... muahaahaa!!!
tonight at Haven, guest dj SHUNT joins Penelope and i on the decks... Shunt has held residencies at Symphony, Ushi, and Petnoto Na Rorshah in Bulgaria, as well as making numerous guest appearances while travelling! he's recently in from California, and is currently staying in Boston.
the mixes on his dj demo are nice and tight, intelligently blended, with a nice diversity of music selections - and his live reviews have been great!
next week, tuesday the 13th (!), Haven will feature a release party for the new Collide dvd, "Like The Hunted"! Collide is sponsoring a raffle to win copies, make sure you get your name in!
we're planning some special surprises for the 20th also... being the day before Solstice, it'll be our last "nightmare" before the xmess! (a perfect time to hang our striped stockings in the hopes that Jack will fly again!) ;)

tonite at Haven penelope and i will be joined by the fabulous dj ZNUH, also known as "mohawk james" among friends. ;)
last night he was up in Portland spinning at Elegy, he's a regular on the decks over at Ceremony in Boston... and you may have seen him bouncing about on the Haven dancefloor now and again. ;)
dj devnull is taking the night off to get healthy, come early to catch a rare 9-10 set by p! also, miss Victoria will be vending an assortment of accessories this evening, early holiday shoppers take note. ;)

hi all!
just wanted to mention that i'll be spinning a couple of nights in the Boston area this weekend!
i'll be filling in for Chris Ewen at Heroes on saturday the 19th, while he and Su /finally/ jet off for their honeymoon! *love!* :D
expect to find me dropping some New and Newer Wave beats - some funky junk from the dusty trunk, some Transmission, a bit of the unpredictable... AND Terri is bartending!!!
then on monday the 21st i'll be sharing the booth with dj Mothra at Ceremony! and, i might add, i'm dragging him back to Haven with me for the following night, tuesday the 22nd! when the two us us hit the decks together it makes for some mix-magic! do be sure to stay well hydrated and get your electrolytes up... we're going to kill you on that dance floor! ;)
after that, my next scheduled appearance in Boston is for dec 16th, at the Gene Loves Jezebel/Incus/Fluttr Effect concert... lots more info about that coming soon!
it's been way too long since i've been in town for anything other than /red tape/... come out and play with me, i can't wait to see you!

Well, I'm not too sure what to say. As far as band updates, there's not too much. We've all been taking some time to relax and think far too much about our personal lives.
I think that we're all really excited to go see Bauhaus.
