No icons thus far, so here be an extension. All submissions for Week 32 are now due this Friday, April 6th at 11PM EST. You may submit them to THIS POST.
In addition, since things are pretty low key around here [read: participation, numerically speaking, would be like a -5] and I'm going to be very busy in the coming weeks, if you don't hear from me for a while, it means the extension is still in effect, and has only been extended further, so please do submit until a voting post goes up.

| Week 32 - Textures : Submission |

Hokay, going for an easy theme for Week 32, hopefully to boost participation... So, your theme this week is Textures. You can do anything you'd like, provided you use at least one of the following textures in your icon.
Rules:
-You must use at least one of the provided textures in your icon.
-You may submit up to 3 icons, or less if you'd prefer.
-Icons must be no larger than 100x100 or 40kb (LJ standard).
-Submit all icons/urls to this screened post.
Also, please include which textures were used in your icon(s)! If it's not obvious how the textures were used, please include this as well.
All icons are due Friday, March 31th at 11PM EST, though extensions will be given if needed.

Let's try this again, shall we? There have been no new submissions to Week 31 since December, which might very well be mostly my fault, for allowing the community to languish that long, but if anyone's interested at all in keeping this icontest going, it'd be great to see some new submissions, or to even hear some comments/suggestions. (Even if anyone thinks they can do a better job as mod than me, feel free to speak up.)
We have two submissions currently, and, ideally, I'd like to see at least five before we go onto voting. But really, any new submissions would be most welcome.
If you have any comments/suggestions please direct them to this screened (for your privacy!) post. Submissions may be directed here.
The extension is until, roughly, next Friday, February 23rd at 11PM EST, but really, feel free to submit until you see the voting post go up.

Well, looks like I missed the un-hiatus date by a week. ^^; I apologize for my lateness, but we're still a few icons away from voting. (Three more? Could you guys muster three more?) Seeing as how Christmas is this coming Monday, I'm not really expecting any new submissions until after that, so I'm going to try extending this challenge one more time, do a bit more community-pimping, and then try to resume things, ooh, around December 29th. How does that sound? As always, any comments/suggestions are more than welcome. ^^

I know, I know; long time no mod, yeah? I apologize for that, but life got hectic for me, and the, well, lack of participation didn't exactly inspire me to make the effort to keep up with modding. At any rate, this is just a reminder that the community isn't technically dead yet, it's just going to be on a sort of open hiatus until the end of the semester, when I can devote the time it needs again.
Basically, submissions for Week 31 are still open and encouraged. We have one icon at the moment, and I would, ideally, like to see five before we ever move onto voting. Should we manage five icons before the end of the semester (roughly December 15th), I'll go ahead and move us out of hiatus and onto voting.
Until then, this a reminder that you have, roughly, until Friday, December 15th to get your Week 31 - Less icons in!

This theme was used at dogs_awards a few weeks back, and I thought it was a good one. ^^ Basically, you need to make an icon using a word with the suffix -less in it. (For example: loveless, hopeless, ruthless, etc.) You're not limited to just that one word, however; feel free to use as much text as you'd like. And, other than that, anything else you'd like to do is fine. ^^ And if you have any questions, don't hestiate to ask!

Call me stubborn, but rather than just putting this comm on hiatus or letting it die, I'm extending week 30 again in the hopes that at least one other person will submit. If someone new submits, I'll make an icon myself and then we can just go onto voting, right? And ynm_icontest gets to live one week longer! Unless no one cares, in which case it'd be nice to be told so, so I can stop spamming all of your friends lists.

Well, let's see if we can get things going again! Week 30's theme is going to be Muraki. Because he's the main baddie and he hasn't been themed yet. And I like him. As long as Muraki's the main focus of your icon, anything's fine.

Hello, everyone. ^^ I'll be taking over here at ynm_icontest for ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) numisma; hopefully I'll be able to do as good a job as she did, but you'll all have to forgive me if it takes me a while to get my bearings (I'm mostly used to video game icontests. ^^;;) Assuming you're all still interested in this icontest (you would have left by now, if that weren't the case, no?) I'm going to try and get things running again as soon as possible. (I'll be posting a new theme right after this.) But, really, not much is going to change. However, there is one thing I wanted to cover, and that's the topic of banner makers. As far as I know, none of the current banner makers appear to be active, soo...unless you'd like to stay on, I'm just going to remove your name from the list. (If you are still interested in being a banner maker, please let me know; just comment to this post saying so.) And unless anyone else is interested in being a banner maker (again, just comment to this post saying so), I'm going to direct everyone to custom_banners for all past and future weeks.
Uhm, but that's about all the housekeeping I felt I needed to do. ^^;
