I really haven't disappeared off the face of the WoW world, I'm just sitting in the AH manically posting glyphs to try to make back some of the gold that I've spent leveling all these damn 70's! :)

I'll probably keep this up through most of the weekend but if you need Zuulii or Dee for something, just give me a yell. My scribe is Llork (the green mohawked gnome rogue xD) and I'm pretty sure I joined dotafriends last night.

I'm also going to try to hop onto Zuulii tonight and run a couple of AV's to test out new talents, add on's and general healing ability before Kara tomorrow!

If you are interested in going to Gruul or Magtheridon next week (which is our off-week), Kelsin of Cake or Death has posted some raids. Gruul on Wednesday and Magtheridon on Thursday.

Their sign-up system works just like ours - sign up on their forums and then you can sign up for the raid in the sign-up system. Both raids start at 5pm server.

I know I've been MIA for a long time, mostly due to pesky RL factors such as work and classes. However, I really wanted to get on WoW for Hallow's Eve, and of course I had to download the new patch. Patch downloaded, I get an error message saying, "This hard drive does not have enough space to install WoW. Your hard drive only has 1.4 GB of space, and WoW requires 5.5 GB of space to install." WTF, 5.5 GB for a single patch???? I already HAVE WoW installed (along with Burning Crusade), so what gives?? I don't think I have my original installation disks anymore, though. I would appreciate any help or advice in this matter.

Okay I suck and I'm wondering what's wrong with my all purpose macro that I made.

This is supposed to cast icy veins/trinket/water elemental/frostbolt/petattack all in one. Everything works except for the cast frostbolt part. What am I doing wrong with this macro?

I suspect that its because casting water elemental has a cast time, so I just stand there after the water elemental pops up and starts attacking and I'm not casting frostbolt, is that right?

I thought I managed to get it to work before however, long ago before I specced to fire. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong now.

What I had to do to get this working again, was to delete the "Reins of the" etc prefixes to the mount names...as in your mount window they no longer have these prefixes (or the "Control" suffix, in my Flying Machine's case!). I'd seen something somewhere using a /mount and /mountrandom command, so I was trying to use that at first. But when I went back to /cast and /castrandom, it worked just fine. :)

This macro will cast a random flying mount if you are in a mountable area that allows for use of flying mounts (ie in OL), or a random land mount if a flying mount is not useable (ie in Azeroth). It will dismount you if you are mounted and NOT flying (will not dismount you mid-air XD).

You can easily modify the "random" aspect out. Just use /cast instead of /castrandom, and link your favorite mount into the macro. I think I had originally snagged the framework for this macro from...either wowwiki or the forums, and tweaked it to my liking. I don't really remember, been using it for ages. :)

With the new patch out, I was thinking that we ought to put together some kind of heroic run to try out the talents. My boomkin needs to show off her pretty new spells. >_>

Because waiting for the patch to install = the perfect time to start updating addons! As I think most of you know by now, files.wowace.com is no longer being updated, and that all the addons from there have moved, mostly to curse.com. I know Curse has their own addon updater, but I hear it's really buggy (I only tried the old one, and it too was really buggy, and required registration as well) - the addon updater I used to use for Ace addons also handles Curse and WoWInterface, and it's now been updated to 1) not draw from files.wowace.com and 2) add Curse and WoWInt addons really easily. It's Java-based and avalible here, so it should run on almost all systems.

And as far as where to find stuff that works with the patch/WotLK, WoWInsider has a big list with links here, and WoWWiki has a compatability listing here.

I know I have a zillion and one things I should be doing right after the patch hits (right now.. I'm supposed to be putting together advice on court dispute resolution.... ew) but hey, it's the big one! There's all sorts of things I want to do, like try out the new talents, pick up inscription on my lock, change hairstyles (finally!!), wonder at what the new potion and raid boss changes are going to mean to a mana pot addict.. I can't decide!

So, what are you planning to do first in 3.0.2?

WWS caveat: I think my combat log range was messed up because I highly doubt that Dawnstar and I did almost 100% of the healing (even though we are awesome ;D), even though I heard you didn't have to do it? Um... confused. But this same thing happened last time too. (It also could be the case if the priests did a ton of healing with prayer of mending, since that isn't applied to them in WWS)



Solarian loots: Alessia took the plate healing belt (loool), cloth healing pants went to Brenis, and we had a dagger which was disenchanted :)

I don't remember exactly what I did once, but I guess I changed all my buttons around like 3 minutes before I started tanking a Slave Pens? Back before I was really familiar at all with it? And at first I was like OMFG WHAT'S GOING ON and it was all stresspressure... but darned if i didn't learn.

So on Wednesday evening, after the talents have all been reset and everyone's going OMFG WHAT NOW ;_;, we totally need to go beat up some grey mobs and feel better about ourselves and our scary new talent trees.

Hello, as the 3.0 patch is coming up upon us and our very gameworld will be changing forever with it, I have accumulated several things Id like to do before this.

Complete the Battle of Darrowshire, Slay Araj the Summoner, Slay Nathanos Blightcaller and, the more important of the things I wish to do before 3.0 hits, Slay General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire.

I have all the steps up to the final parts of each of these questlines done, so I just need some able bodied Alliance brethren to help me save the world from these (mostly) undead fiends! I'll be available all this weekend to attempt these feats of heroism.


If nothing eles, I really just want my ony key before the chain is taken away in the patch :(
