Today, our managers called for a special meeting to show us a video about what Wal-Mart is doing to help others in the aftermath of the hurrcaine. Anyone else watch it?

I just stumbled onto this site, I hope it is not an intrusion, Hope people effected in the south are able to find shelter. It's great to see the Wal Mart support team pull together. I'm curious to know if anyone from Wal-Mart
corp is reading this. Can you tell me about the security/employment/background check for getting access to Retail-link. What are the policies and how stringent are they? I can't seem to find any information on this and I don't want to over alarm the buyer

Yes, Wal-mart corp. has people that regulate this site. I can not tell you how I know this, but trust me...I know.

No vidio in my store .. it it hardly talked about also. We also have a plaxi cange for donations, but harldy anything in there. I know al lot of the workers in my store cant afford to give. It sucks.

I watched it when it aired. The website is a lot more informative though. Eduardo Castro Wright understated some of the payment amounts.... I'm really glad that they aired it though.

no video but we have little glasses to collect money. Its helping a lot I've seen a lot of money and checks. Lemme join the community I work at store 768. Texas in the house.

that video was to be aired and mandatory view by all members of management. if you did not view it, that is because the assistants were supposed to be communicating through meetings and CBWA, the information. This is to offer the ability for the associates to talk about thier thoughts on the topic with a member of management.
If you were allowed to view the video, and you are not a member of management, i do hope that your management team gave you the time to follow up with you questions and concerns.
Personally, I think the way it was intended is a better way, Managers communicating to thier associates.
