Ok Ladies and Gentlemen yet again
I'm Looking for a place for March 1st or even now would be nice.
I've been looking in the paper and renting.ca.
and now i'm reaching out to you.

I'm looking for something in the range of $400-$600 a month would be nice all inclusive would be even better.I don't need a parking spot since i don't drive but some where my boyfriend could park near by would be awesome.

I'm a responsible girl who has two jobs, which both these jobs go from either morning for one and then evening for another.
So I'd be home most likely for nights even then that is questionable. I don't play loud music. I won't screw any one over with rent. whether it be a basement suite or sharing with a roommate. I'm easy going and work way to much.

so please Victoria I'm asking for help.
help me ....please?

Room for rent!

Hi [info]victoria_bc!  Boy do I have a deal for you!

$350 per month gets you a fairly large (maybe 10'x11') room with a walk-in closet in a cute and very big character home (ooh, high ceilings!) in the Fernwood area.  This includes all utilities and cable TV, but not internet.  The house is in a very convenient location, a 3-minute walk from Oak Bay Junction, right next to a really nice park, and on the 27/28 bus route.  It's 15 minutes by bus to get to UVic, and about 5 by bus to downtown.

The house has a free shared washer/dryer for the three levels of the home, and our unit is allowed use of them for three days per week.  No more lugging clothes to the laundromat - what a steal!

You'd be sharing the house with two others, one of whom is a woman in her late 20s who works full-time (and has a really sweet dog!).  The other room has not yet been filled.

Please feel free to ask any questions here, or to e-mail me at acrossthetea at yahoo dot com for a viewing.

Housing help? Please?

Hello everyone,

My roommate and I are looking for a two-bedroom apartment for February 1st.  I've already looked in the paper and all of the websites, but I'm wondering if any of you have vacancies in your buildings that I may not have seen/are not advertised well.

Here are some specifics:  It must be an apartment (not a suite in a house).  We prefer to pay around $850, but will go up to $950ish.  Hardwood is preferred, but not necessary.  We just don't want to live in a dump, and we're good kids (not that this is relevant right now).  Also, we'd like to live in Fernwood/Jubilee, Downtown, Cedar Hill, Oak Bay, Cook St Village, Fairfield, or James Bay.

Thanks in advance!

Hey,

My friend and I are getting desperate now to find a place for september. We are looking at 2bedrooms and 3bedrooms(because we have a friend who isn't needing to be moved out by then, but if we find a place, will. And a house seems to be a slightly cheaper way to go.). We'd prefere something in either Fernwood(before Hillside), James Bay, Fairfield(around Cook St Village is perfect but we don't count on it) and the part of Oak Bay before the Highschool on Foul Bay, so that we can walk to work. The thing is we can only pay a max of $500 each, especially if we had to pay for utilities(included would be awesome, or even a lower price!). All the places we've looked at had dozens of older couples, or just older students looking as well and given to one of them, or were overpriced for the crap they were trying to rent(cue the $900/mo place where one bedroom had no window).

We'll both be starting Camosun in September for a few courses but working full-time, so we won't have a problem paying our bills. I'm 18 and he's 19(she is 18 as well and working full-time, non-student) and we'll very clean, pretty quiet people. We don't have any pets, need parking, or smoke.

So I'm begging you Victorians, do you know of anything? And yeah, I've been looking. I might have missed something though. I pretty much look at the uVic off campus every morning, same with the camosun one and the TC classifies. If not in the morning, when I get home from work at 430.

Thank You!

Room for rent - Available April 1st

Hi, I'm somewhat new to LJ, so I hope everything is in order with this post. I'm also terribly sorry for the marquee.
I'm looking for a roommate. It's a 5br place, but there will only be 4 occupants total for the months of April and May. The house has hardwood, washer & dryer, dishwasher, 2 bathrooms -one wallpapered entirely with local gig posters, sound-resistand jam room, and the other usual stuff. We're very close to UVic and buses (shelbourne at mackenzie), but on a nice quiet cul de sac. The room is going for $380 and that includes everything except cable internet, which can be had for an additional $10 per month.
  • No smoking
  • No pets
  • No cable TV
And I think that's about it.
Please call Chris at 721-2921 if you're interested.

Getting Stepped On
Hey everyone,

I'm in a bit of a bind.  Feb 1st is next wednesday and I am suddenly without a roommate.  There is a girl staying with me (I used to work with her, and she used to come here a lot to see her boyfriend) who said she was going to move in.  Because she was an old friend, and because she needed to find a place as well, this seemed to work out favorably for both of us.  However, two or three nights ago, she broke up with her boyfriend and suddenly everything is up in the air with her.  I've been trying to get her to call the landlord to let them know that she'll be moving in, so I had a little chat with her last night about it.

And... she's not moving in after all!  >_<  So I've got less than five days to find a roommate.

If you know of anyone interested, please send them my way.  Rent is 400/month, plus power.  There is one cat here too.  It's located near Johnson and Cook (near bus/downtown).  Remaining details are at the original ad.

Leave a message at (250) 213-5368 and I'll get back to you right away.

Hey Victoria,
I am looking for a roommate for Feb.1. I live in langford on bus route, and need someone to share my 2 bedroom apartment. Rent will be $300 a month, not including utilities. I have 3 indoor cats that live with me, so you must like cats (or at least tolerate them). I'm vegetarian, but it doesn't matter if you are or not. I'm really easy going, and flexible. Please contact me if you are interested. The place is a 10 minute walk to Canwest Mall, right on Sooke Rd, with a bus stop right out front of the apartment complex. There is also parking.
Please email me at hollynemeth@hotmail.com if you are interested.

Thanks
Holly

Roommate Wanted - Near Downtown Victoria

- Roommate Wanted -
...for Feb 1st...

I'm looking for someone to live with!  I live near downtown Victoria (Johnson and Cook) in a two bedroom apartment.  I'm a vegan, non-smoking boy who enjoys cooking, gaming, reading, and dancing to music that matters.  No land-line (phone).  Rent is 397.50/month, plus power (++).

The fine print: I have some furniture already, (although there are absolutely no shelves).  The building is generally pretty quiet, with the only noise usually coming from the guys below or the girls above.  There is also one cat that lives here, a mail short haired tuxedo cat by the name of Sebastian.  The damage deposit is unfortunately almost a full months rent, but there may be some flexibility about how quickly that is paid.  I am usually a fairly neat person.  I am terrible at taking care of plants.  I try to recycle.  Sebastian is fixed.  We don't have cable television, although I have considered it recently...  There is an uber high speed net connection which you can connect to via ethernet or a wireless card ($25/month if shared).

Requirements:
- Veg*n
- Non smoking

Contact me via email: jbezooyen [at] gmail . com (or reply to this post)
or leave a message at 2502135368

For the past few months I've gotten to live in a two bedroom apartment by myself.  My roommate left shortly before July, but was still sending rent checks until January (he thought he might come back at some point).  As of now he's realized that he's not coming back, so I have a spare bedroom!  I assure everyone, I'm awesome to live with!

Apply now!  Limited availability!

I seek a new roommate! At $340/month including utilities, right on the Gorge, how could you go wrong?! There's one furnished room here available JANUARY 1ST, since my roommate is moving back to res.

It's a lovely room in the above-ground basement suite of a 6-bedroom waterfront house. The suite includes a bathroom, living room, and kitchen, and is shared between two people (one of them being me and one being ????). On the main floor of the house is another kitchen, a sun deck, and more living room space -- everyone in the house, including basement suite residents, has access to all of this. There's also a very lovely back yard with roses and apples and raspberries and stuff. =)

When I say utilities included, I mean not only heat and water, but also cable TV, internet (wireless or not), and phone. Wahey!

We're a short 5 minute walk away from the #14 bus, and 10 minutes from the #11.

Pets may or may not be allowed, depending what they are. There's an indoor/outdoor cat in the house already. If you're interested and have pets, we can talk about it. =)

The house is all-female (sorry, boys!) and non-smoking, and I am a generally tidy and quiet (read: v. geeky) individual, and would love to have the same in a roommate. =)

Please to comment or email me at nylffn[[[at]]]gmail.com for further detail etcetera.

Edit: Oops, I totally forgot to include where it is! Behold: http://tinyurl.com/d6684 (29 Brigadoon Place, near the intersection of Admirals and Craigflower)

Room For Rent (Starting January) - $400/month

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
umu?
Hello, my darlings. I seem to remember a few people wishfully dreaming of the elusive $400/month place for rent. I've got something for you~

Currently I share the upper level of a house in Saanich (very close to Tillicum Mall and Town and Country Mall) with two roommates. However, I'm moving onto the UVic campus starting in January. So, I need somebody to take my place, and thought I'd come here first.

My room is at the back of the house. It is HUGE (the master bedroom). It has a large walk-in closet and its own private bathroom (win, win!) We're just off McKenzie Avenue, but where I'm at the back of the house near all the trees (we back onto a really gorgeous park with lots of walking trails) the road noise is almost inaudible. I will also be leaving my desk and two tables because I have no storage space.

We also have to pay hydro utilities on top of the rent, but for September it was... $10 per person. So that's hardly a factor!

The neighbourhood is quiet and pretty, very close to the 51 and 30/31 bus routes, and a fifteen minute walk/five minute bus down to the 26 bus route. It's also pretty close to the Interurban (21? I don't use it, but...) We have a big deck in the backyard for smokers - no smoking inside, sorry! The roomies I'm leaving behind are both fun, awesome, and easygoing, and we really want somebody dependable to fill in the void I'm leaving behind, oh noes!

If this sounds good to you, drop me an email at luxemverb at gmail.com - and if YOU don't want to take me up on this, but think somebody else might, totally pass on the word.

Thanks!

This is short of short notice and all, but I'm left without many options. I've been offered a job within my company that is going to place me up island, a position I can't pass up. What this means though, is that I'll be leaving my two roommates (not to mention my landlord) high and dry.

It's a nice three bedroom townhouse in a quiet part of James Bay off Oswegos. The place is three stories high with a common area of sorts in the bottom, two bedrooms on the second floor as well as the main bathroom and the master bedroom on the top floor. There are several appliances including a washer and dryer, a dishwasher and the standard fridge and stove. A half bathroom exists on the main floor as well. There is a yard with a small deck.

The room you would be occupying has several phone jacks, a fair sized closet and is a nice blue colour.

At the moment the place is a sty, honestly. The reason being is that a friend of one of the roommates has been staying on the couch for a couple months and he has made a mockery of clean living. This will be remedied when he leaves and takes his garbage with him which will be sometime this month. It's a quiet building, there are never any parties and never will be any, the neighbours are quiet and very friendly. One of the people living here is vegan and non-smoker so it would be nice to find someone that can respect that.

The rent is $400 a month and there is no damage deposit required. I need to find someone willing to move in December 1st, able to pay the rent anytime before that, NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, I need someone to confirm they'll move in December 1st IMMEDIATELY.

So, to quickly recap for those that don't want to read the above:

3 Bedroom Townhouse in James Bay
NO Damage Deposit
NO References needed (will break thumbs if paying rent = no)
$400 monthly for rent plus approx $80 for bills (Hydro, Phone and Cable Internet)
Washer/Dryer, Stove/Fridge and Dishwasher
One male non-smoker vegan roommate, one female non-smoker roommate
Fenced backyard with deck
Empty common area for your couches and other crap
One full bathroom, one half bathroom
Quiet buildings/community
Messy at the moment, will be extensively cleaned early December
Need confirmation immediately

If you would like to take this wonderful opportunity at fine living, please add me to your MSN at xlynchpinx at hotmail.com (it's online all the time), or email me at that address. If I am not responding leave me a message of where I can reach you.

Thanks

I'm looking for a place to live for Jan 1, and I need a place that will allow pets.

I have an indoor only cat, and some mice. I've been looking and looking, and everything is "No Pets!" The couple places I've found that allow them are too much. $400 incl. utilities (everything except phone, really) is ok. $400 PLUS utilities is not. The animals are not cheap. :)

Anyone have any leads? I'd like to find a place ASAP, and get everything taken care of so I'm not worrying myself sick during exams.

My girlfriend and I (both responsible young adults) are looking for a place to call our own around December or January. An apartment or basement suite would be nice. The closer to downtown or Camosun, the better (I go to Camosun Lansdowne and she works in town) and even if it's on a bus route or close enough to one it would work. Our max rent we could possibly afford together is around the 675-700 range. If they accepted a cat it would be nice, but this isn't a requirement.

Any ideas? Any more information I should give?

Favourite apartments

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Will be looking for an apartment in the near future, so I was wondering what buildings in town people have as favourites? Not that they necessarily have anything for rent right now, but in terms of location, size, other tenants, building quality, amenities, price, etc. what recommendations do you have?

I suppose on the flip side, warnings against certain buildings would also be helpful.

I realize that this is very subjective, but will come in handy down the line for lots of other people. Think of the children!

EDIT: Disregaurd. I have located a room mate. Thanks anyway :)

Hey Victoria.

It's me again.

As much as I do love this burst of "apartment-all-to-myself" time, I am not made of money and do require someone to fill the larger of the two bedrooms in my lovely apartment.

Anyone need a new place to live? Anyone just moving to Victoria and looking for a place?

Rent here is $380 each, and that is pretty darn good - I've been researching the market myself and the only thing I found for around the same price was a trailer in someone's driveway that is about half the size of the living room here.

Contact me if you are interested. (Comment back or call me, Kathy, at 380-3583.)
The apartment: We'd obviously share the kitchen (I have nearly every kitchen item one might require) and the huge bathroom (serioiusly 3 times the size of the one at my parents' place). Your bedroom would be the obviously larger one. We have a large living room (full furnature, but if you have your own we could rearrange and use both) and dinning room (I have the chairs and table all set up) with more closet space than I can use up - a closet in each room, a pantry, a linen closet, lost of kitchen cabinets, a closet for jackets and shoes as you walk in the door, and then yet another closet (random storage?).

Please get in contact with me if you are interested (or pass this on to those you know who might be interested). Thanks.
(If I'm not home when you phone, leave me a note on el-jay as I haven't purchased an answering machine yet.)

Place to Live

My room mate had to move out on me therefore I had to give my one months notice today so as to not be stuck paying for the full November rent by myself.

I am looking for a place to live starting on November 1st. It needs to be somewhat easy to get to from UVic (or to get to UVic from there), cheap, and unfurnished (I have all the furniture I need). Anyone know of any leads?
I've been looking for a room mate/looking for a new place since the beginning of September, so any help would really be wonderfully accepted.

Thank you.

One-bedroom apartment, $550 or less, that allows cats -- three of them, to be exact. Location: anywhere in CRD, not the West Shore or Sooke.

Any such place in this town?

I'm a non-smoker (but don't care if you smoke), we can't have pets, and I'm a nice little gal who is studying theatre at UVic.
