---------- COMMUNITY-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS & RULES:
If you guys are all about free speech, why does it say "deleted comment" here? And why is this entry missing?
Most deleted posts and/or comments in this community have been deleted by the person who posted it. This is strongly discouraged, but it has been known to happen and, as moderators, we can do nothing about this. We can't turn off deleting entirely.
Anything else that is missing has been deleted by the moderators due to one of the following reasons:
1) LJ ToS violation. We're here instead of at suicidegirls because of a violation of LJ's ToS, and we'll be damned if it happens again. This may include the deletion of spam. Do realize that this is LJ's policy, not ours, and as long as we're under their roof, we follow their rules. Yes, there is one person who has been banned from this community due to multiple violations that threatened our existence here.
2) Disabling comments on a post. This is a community that exists for the purpose of free discussion, and preventing that from happening is not exactly true to our cause. If we delete a legitimate post for this reason, which we have done, feel free to re-post it, but do not disable comments.
There used to be a ton of pictures in this community. Why did that change?
http://www.livejournal.com/community/sg
So does that mean I can post pictures, or not?
All photos posted in this community MUST be behind an LJ-cut. I don't give a shit if they're work-safe or not. All of them. No ifs, ands, or buts about any of it.
What is the Porn Liberation Front all about?
In late February and early March 2004, a whirlwind of changes to SG caused some rather furious activity in this community. Amidst the chaos, Dia and Anouck (and later, Kiscica) decided to release some old sets that they had taken with the intention of giving them to the site. The lost sets of the archive girls wound up posted here, opening up a can of worms ... that really went nowhere in the end.

Noticing much of the in-fighting that went on between models, staff, members, and the like spurred me into finding out about most of this. Some things I wasn't aware of, however, but it didn't do much to dampen my opinion of most of the staff worse than anything else they've done already has. I look at the girls who are currently enjoying their time on the site and wonder with somber feelings just how long it'll take for them to fall under the axe of selfish, oppressive employers.
Some, I'm sure, have had great experiences and some haven't, but these who didn't were often burned for stupid enough reasons to possibly invoke at least a small sense of nervousness in the models, members, or even select staff who have, so far, gone untouched. I've determined that perhaps one of the only ways you wouldn't feel this is if you willingly turn your head away and close your eyes to all of the events that, despite the decent treatment you've gotten, have happened to other people.
They've seen it and had a chance to grasp it, but chose not to. I do not feel bad for them. Others maybe haven't seen it at all and remain ignorant of just what type of puerile iniquity lies behind the smile and pat on the head they're getting from their superiors. I pity them, because unlike the first group, they have no idea of what might lie ahead of them in the future.
Yet, I'm sure that many will eventually have more than enough time to experience just what it's like to be Dia, Kimmi, Nala, Hel, Anouck...
Thanks for the full history.
Good job on the FAQ. You might want to include the "why we care when girls are archived" and something about how SG.com deletes the threads that it doesn't like or that makes them look the worst. Beyond their shitty treatment of members and their farcical lipservice to punk rock and feminism, I think that's what made me hate the site the most. The site is all about misinformation and reality management.
I'm glad that SG is pretty much a joke these days.
so... everyone take your screenshots.
I'd suggest putting this into the community profile for newbies.
I left due to drama, but maybe I'll come back? I dunno.
i am ex-SG Silva.
good job, girlie.
it should be tho if its not... the list and why they left!
"Maya" is linked to anouck instead of to my SG profile in the archives...maybe that should be corrected??
