I love communities that help find long lost fic and was delighted to find this one.
I'm looking for a McShep Slash fic, slightly AU.
The boys are on Atlantis and have been a couple for awhile when John's dad shows up (I think his name was Benjamin Sheppard?). He is supposed to be there as an observer or something but he just did that to get to see John. He figures out fairly quickly that John and Rodney are a couple and when he complains to Rodney that he's messing up John's career, Rodney says something like "We have life sucking vampires, do you think they care who we sleep with?"
As few other items I can recall: anyone with the gene who stays in Atlantis for very long can't leave, Dad and John resolve some issues, Atlantis secedes from Earth, I'm almost sure I read it on Wraithbait but can't find it there now
Any help is appreciated.
