The STS Round 3!
Finally it's time for STS-Round 3! It's not too far off. Get ready for a bigger and badder race location, fast and crazy riding, and one hellova good time! The women's racing was off the hook last time, and who knows what'll happen in Round 3! Renee says the bags are coming off!

Immediately following the race there will be a party in Georgetown! We've got yer food, "refreshments", and a special little thing called MINI-BIKE JOUSTING! Racers and spectators are welcome to take part in the festivities! We'll hand out prizes for the night as well as Trophies and special prizes for the overall points winners!

So get out there and let's rock this shit!

If you haven't been out for any of the races yet you're still more than welcome to come out and compete for the nightly prizes, or just watch and party it up with us afterwords.

I'll do a good writeup later on tonight (probably before the ride). But, if you must know, the women's race went a little somethin' like this:

Originally we had three female racers, and an honorary stand-in (to round out the competition. One of the ladies decided against racing, and our stand-in got let off the hook. So it was down to Leslie, and the newcomer Renee. Leslie rocked the shiney pleather pants and vest, and Renee decided to race with fully loaded Panniers on the front of her bike. We did it "best, 2 out of 3".

First race Leslie couldn't get clipped in and Renee sped to an easy victory a good 20 yards ahead. Second race Leslie managed to get 1 foot clipped in and managed to snag the win by a smaller margin. Clearly Renee can haul ass, even with bags on her bike. And in the last race Renee was leading most of the way down the track, and leslie was still having pedal problems. She managed to clip in for the last 50 feet and sped ahead and managed to get her wheel just two mere inches ahead of Renee's for the win.

It was a pretty intense race. Renee says she'll be racing without the bags next time, and Leslie will definately be working on her pedal problem.

And just so you know, Scott won another one last night by beating out Dobie by a bike length in the final round. You also missed out on a fair ammount of male near-nudity. uuuuuuuuuuun-lucky!

Holy Mother of Crap!

News of STS - Round 3 keeps getting better and better!
We've secured a spot for the party afterwords. We
have a nice shop (with bathrooms) and a private
parking lot for jousting and partying, a keg, and a
carload of mini-bikes/jousting poles. I'll let
everyone know the address of that party at the race,
but I will tell you it's down in Georgetown. We owe
this awesome location to the generosity of Daniel's
Friend David, so be sure to thank him profusely on
Friday night. Everyone is encouraged to bring
themselves, bring beer, bring keg money, and bring
friends!

The race will have prizes for first and second places
in both men's and women's classes. If we have enough
mini-bikes there will be a class for them too. I
REALLY want people to be all about the style this
time, but because of the points spread in the men's
category I'll give you some motivation for going
crazy: we'll also have a "style prize for the night"
to be given out to the person who demonstrates the
best style during the race! The style prize will be
voted on by everyone after the race (not decided upon
by me). Remember the theme is "wrastlin". Also
remember that the theme doesn't matter if you want to
do your own thing so long as you're having fun!

Prizes for the night, and grand prizes/trophies will
be handed out at the party.

Remember, meet this friday in the Uwajimaya Parking
Lot at 9:00 PM and be ready to race and party! And
it's RAIN OR SHINE!!!!

If anyone has any questions please direct them to me.

Let's do this sh*t!
