| Hi, my name is Jen, I'm 22. My boyfriend, our son and I just moved out of our "cluttered, too small, unpaintable" apartment into our new place which I'm growing to love so much. Here are some pictures of my finished work with simple description.

| I actually made a post of this room a couple of years ago, when I originally turned it into a Library, and again when we added a Desk cornerThat worked out pretty well for a while, but the corner where the desk was, slopes very badly, pitching me forward in the chair, which gave me backaches. I also wanted a better set up for writing and working, so that I would have more flat surface area for spreading out and I could be a little bit more "present" in the household, rather than tucked into a corner with my back to everyone. NOW - to my left I can look out the window at trees, to my right I can look into the game room and watch what's going on there, plus I can look through to the entry way and see people coming and going. It's nice - even in this room, I can talk to people easier. ( Want to have a tour? ) | |

| After living with a roomate for just over 2 years, I decided it was time to move out on my own again. It was tough finding a place for my kitty and I in Vancouver because every landlord seems to be anti-pet in this city. I'm finally settled and I thought I'd share my little dwelling with you guys!! | |

| Welcome to my bedroom..... living back with my parents hasnt been easy but luckily enough they have a massive room which i can store half of my stuff in and i can block half the room off with bookcases for extra privacy. Let me know what you think :) my bed... ( more room! )There would be so much more character to my room if i wasnt living temporarily with the parents because its all in boxes so when i move back out yay! my paintings will all be back! | |

| Here's this week's Show Me Your... post. Go to town! (I noticed a few of you asked questions on last week's SMY post pretty recently, so you may want to post them here as well.) | |

| my boyfriend, best friend and i live in a cute little rental house. i've been in the process of totally redecorating everything (we've been here about a year, but i'm just now really feeling like we're moved in, if that makes sense). the bedroom that my boyfriend and i share was kind of the last room for me to redo, i just never put as much effort into it because i really only sleep there. ( but, finally, the time came for me to fix it up! ) | |
|
| It has been three weeks since we moved into our snug little home and we've been busy adding touches of warmth to each room. ♥ ( Read more... ) | |

| I added some new photos of our place. We're getting the hang of the place and slowly replacing our old furniture with things from IKEA that are based on period pieces. This takes you to the entire album - just easier than pasting and cutting. Makes for a short blog too. :) http://www.philafleur.com/projects/fixHouse.html | |

| Oh crap, it's Friday already! :D
Here's your Show Me Your post for the week! | |

| I'm new here and I'm in awe of how amazing all of these places look. Decorating tips would be greatly appreciated, because my place doesn't quite feel "finished". ( welcome to my loft ) | |

| The Linens N Things closing in my town is working out well for me. Yesterday I got some drapery panels for $8.99 each, and a $35 rod for $20.99! This is my home office. I am a Children's portrait photographer, my branding colors are aqua, lime and magenta, so this just works :) ( a couple more ) | |

| Last weekend my house was changed over from normal house to saucy and girly high tea baby shower. Setting was a high tea, and we tried to make the thing as "garden-esque" as we could, which meant changing around the setup of the back patio area and the dining room. Whole project was heavily DIY'd and presented interesting challenges considering I was only on day 4 of recovery from foot surgery. (Thank God for minions to do your bidding!) ( Cut for picts ) | |

| Our table setting for entertaining on the 4th of July. I thought the flowers looked appropriately like fireworks. | |

| Sorry I'm a little later than usual, but here's the Show Me Your post for the week! | |
|
| So, as of today, I have 21 more days until I need to move out of my apartment. I'm having a hard time moving all my things, and dealing with the idea of letting go of everything considering I'll be moving back in with my parents. I like to call it detachment anxiety. But while that's something I can deal with on my own time, thought I'd document some photos of my room currently. Sorry it's a bit messy, but I hope you enjoy the photos! ( COME ON IN! ) | |

| Spring cleaning fever has hit, a bit late, and I've been on a roll the past few days. I decided to tackle my husband's office, a.k.a. the Green Manalishi Room, and photographed it. We bought our home in the East Mountains area of Albuquerque, NM, four years ago this month! If anyone's interested in seeing my last post here of my house, it's: from Christmas 2006. We had wood floors put in the entire house a few months after we bought it. Wall to wall carpet=evil. Yay for extra money left over from the sale of our previous house! Every day I look down at the floors and feel happy. It's red oak for everywhere but in the GMR; we chose ash for that room, just for variety & because we thought it would look good. The room is long & narrow, and was a windowless, dark cave. So in early 2005, a window (loverly housewarming gift from my awesome Mom) was installed, and the room was suddenly transformed into a light-filled happy place. A month later, I faux-finish painted it sage green. In 2006, we put custom-made blinds on the window. Little by little, we've been fixing it up further. Last fall, my husband completed his PhD, and we had his diploma framed and hung on the wall. And with that, the GMR finally feels finished! ( Lots of photos of the Green Manalishi Room's evolution, from dark windowless cave to wood floor & window installation, to painting, to how it looks today! ) | |

| I just finished a collage wall in my house and I am so excited with how awesome it turned out that I wanted to share it with all of you saucy dwellers! | |

| It's our new pond / fountain in the backyard. The basic concept arose from three urns that we found at Garden Ridge. The copper balls float around in the turbulence from the falling water and strike the copper chimes - it's subtle, you can barely hear it on the video, but it's just loud enough in person. ( Construction details: )Now, I just need to get rid of all the dirt we dug up. | |

| My Husband to be recently came into possession of his Grandfathers 1949 Muntz T.V. and Console Clock. He decided to gut the original tube and store it, Then inserted a new TV into the case. The clock still has it original box ( Read more... ) | |
