A Few Rules
Here are a few rules that have been put together in hopes of clearing up issues that have or may come up in this community. They're not overly restrictive, I promise, and please follow them. Unfortunately, if you don't, there will be consequences, and I would prefer to not have to deal with that. Also, yes, I realize this is a long post and some of you would prefer it behind a cut tag. I, however, feel that these rules are much too important to be placed behind a cut.
Rule Number One:
Play nice. The Sampler is all about community and sharing and promotion of indie crafters. We're all in it for the same reason - because we love creativity. We like to be different. But at the same time, we need to work together. So play nice. You may not like all of the things said all of the time, and if you have a differing opinion in a discussion, please voice it. Just do so in a polite, respectful, professional way.
Rule Number Two: If you have a problem with something that is posted, please bring it to the attention of both Marie and Megan. We're happy to discuss anything with you and would prefer to see disputes resolved amicably.
Rule Number Three
Please do not use large fonts when posting. They mess with friends pages and they make it very easy for someone across the room to see what website you have on your screen. Now, this isn't to say that anyone is ashamed of reading this community, it's just that sometimes, perhaps, you are in a class, or at work, and perhaps you should be doing something else with your time, and we're not here to get anyone in trouble. Along those same lines, please do not swear in your posts. This can trigger various web monitoring systems and lead to this community being blocked from business and school networks. That means that people will no longer be able to read it from certain locations. Also, some people are offended by swearing. Just remember that when you post.
Rule Number Four
Remember, this community isn't just for advertising. Sure, a bit of advertising is ok here and there, but we're about community. Asking questions and sharing ideas and communicating. Keep that in mind when you post.
Rule Number Five
Should you feel the need to blatantly violate any of these rules, be aware that we have a three strikes policy. Marie and Megan are nice, kind, people, but would like to keep this community a friendly place, and if there are too many issues, we will block you from the
community.
Above all, have fun, and if you have any questions, please contact either Marie or Megan and we'll clear it all up for you. Go forth and create!
