DESTROID is a project of Daniel Myer, who is also well-known for his other projects HAUJOBB and ARCHITECT. With their first album 'Future Prophecies' released in 2004, they already gathered much attention by the press as well as from the fans of electronic music. Their second album, which is called 'Loudspeaker’, was just released on 26th October 2007.

The synthetic dream foundation has a new album, entitled "Behind the gates of horn and ivory" coming out at the end of this month. The sound clips on their site sound phenomenal. Anyone else had a chance to listen to the sample mp3s yet? I think this is going to be the best TSDF album yet.

i have a 4 track so as to record guitar tracks, i can do that. what i need help with is recording vocals. when i get started on writing some of this stuff, i'd like to find someone i can just work with/collab on stuff with, and then get ready to just record stuff right there on the spot. acoustic stuff, please. death cab/(older) dashboard/texas is the reason or brand new-gone-acoustic style.

Okay, I'm going to come right out and say it.
DJ's on the patio drive me NUTS.
It's not the DJ spinning at all; it's the lack of a quiet area to go off to and actually TALK to someone. Instead, there's just more music, playing over the music I already hear inside the club, and it's just nerve-wracking. I used to really enjoy having the option to head out to the patio area when I wanted to talk to someone, or just chill with the volume turned down a little.
I know, I'm a picky spoilsport old fogey.

I wonder if anyone could give me a run-down on the Goth/underground scene here. I'm working in West Palm until the end of January and looking for cool hang outs. If anyone can recommend coffee shops, books stores, or anywhere else, that would be really spiffy.
My "home club" is The Castle in Tampa. (If you've never been, you should see it. http://www.castle-ybor.com ) They're really elaborate there...most of 'em make a big effort to dress up all Goth fashion plate. But I have a small suitcase and could only bring practical clothes...is that a faux pas at RSC? Is there anything else I should know about the place? Parking issues, bring earplugs, et cetera? Thanks! |
