Ted Allen has a new show on Food Network (you Canadians have FoodTV but I'm not sure if you'll get this proggie, might want to check), set to begin airing on July 29th at 9pm EDT. It's called "Food Detectives", and from what I can tell from the commercials it's Mythbusters for the foodie set.
Either way, it means more Ted on the television screen! And who doesn't love that?

=[ I was on the Bravo site reading the Top Chef blogs and Ted hadn't posted anything last Wednesday because he had a death in the family on May 17th and he had been pre occupied with all of that.
I feel so sad for him...but he seems to be doing okay now but I thought that I would pass that information a long.

Is Jai Dyslexic? I ask because in some episodes I noticed that sometimes he is the only one not reading the information about the straight guy,the others have blackberrys and folders and he doesn't he just tells the information,and also in the episode with Butch he is reading the shirt that Carson made for Butch that said I love new york city boys,Butch and Carson and he is reading it kind of slowly,maybe I am reading too much into it but also in his blogs on Myspace he misspells a lot of words.
Something I have been wondering about and I would like somebody's opinion.

What do you think of Jai now? Like everyone pretty much knows by now, I’ve been reading up on the guys every once in a while to catch up with the fandom. I left it a (long) time ago, and have just recently wanted to come back and see what’s up. Some of the things he said in interviews has me .. I guess dumbfounded would be a good word. And he got work done. Botox injections at age 28 (?) sounds too extreme to me, but of course, everyone has the choice to do what they wish with their bodies. I just thought it was odd, because I didn’t think he needed any changes! :) Has he issued an apology or anything for those comments, because they do sound rather hurtful towards the gay community. But that’s just my opinion.

Just so everyone knows....the new season of Thom's show Dress My Nest premieres Wednesday at 11/10c pm on the Style network! Check it out!! Also, Bravo has been running commercials for mystyle.com with stars from hit shows on the Style Network, including Thom and Jai. Tune in and keep your eyes peeled. :) And...for the Carson Kressley fans out there: tune into Lifetime during the month of Decemeber to see Carson and Melissa Peterson from Reba host Fa La La La Lifetime, where they show a the best Christmas movies ever all the way up until December 25th.

Ted Allen is on Iron Chef America RIGHT THIS SECOND on Food Network. He is one of the judges. EDIT2: I've been informed that he's a regular. So fellow QE fans, you can at least get your Ted fix provided you watch Iron Chef. I almost died when he called turducken nauseating :D
Heads up!
EDIT: This is the newest episode, Thanksgiving, Michael Symon's inaugural Iron Chef battle. They'll probably reair it soon, but anyone wishing to catch it now should turn it on now or in a few minutes...Ted's moment to shine will be during the judging, and the chefs are still cooking.
