Paris Hilton Icon Tutorial (Lucky)
We will be making this icon: 
First we start out with this image of Paris Hilton. I got it from Scan-Tastic which has a ton of awesome scans.
Then I crop and resize and edit with this: 
Then we take the same picture and resize it so that it's MUCH smaller, and then using the FreeHand Selection tool(
<--- that's what it looks like) to delete the background. Just select everything behind the mini-Paris and press delete. ^____^.
After that, I ended up with this
, but that of course will be on top of the base of Paris you just made...looking like this
.
Now, onto coloring: I used this
gradient that I got from
crumblingwalls and filled a new layer with it, then set the opacity to 48 and set the blending option to Screen.
It should now look like this: 
Now I made a new layer and filled it with this gradient
that is also from
crumblingwalls. I then set that layer's opacity to 50 and also set the blending option to Hard Light.
It should now look like this: 
Finally you just make a new layer with a 1 pixel black border and write the text in #130B51. Then you set this layer to overlay.
Finally, you should end up with
