I don't know if anyone has anything suitable to offer, or even any leads, but I'm after some black over-knee or thigh boots, that need to fit very snugly to the leg (no gaping at the top a la piratey styles), in matte or patent (or even possibly satin or velvet), and it doesn't matter if they're pull on, zipped, laced, buckled or whatever... Seems straightforward, but I'm looking for low heels (up to three inches), and they need to be solid or chunky (but not wedges). I love spike heels, but I can't walk in them (especially with all the hills and cobbles around here)! Do they even exist? Needless to say, price needs to be low, too... Size UK 6 - 7, should anyone have any ideas!

I have a pair of the New Rock Neptuno boots, the platform ones with the springs in the sole. After having them a few months the sole has come away from the heel, I took them to a cobbler and he said that this happens all the time with New Rocks, and I must agree they always seem to be really poor quality considering the price you pay for them.
The cobbler glued it back on for me but he said it would probably happen again because the sole of the shoe is too light for the actual boot, it's made of a kind of hard foamy type material. And lo and behold , it has happened again!
I've tried superglue but it doesn't work for long and even the stuff the cobbler used doesn't hold for long.I'm gutted as these are my favourite boots- does anybody know of a really good glue that I could use? Maybe one that is specifically for gluing shoes? Any help greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know anywhere that does black jeans that fit an hourglass figure well? I'm a size 12-14 with big hips and find the current trend for low rise jeans means most look horrible on me. I got a pair of black boot cut jeans from M&S recently which fit ok but I'd really like a pair of skinny flares.
