2011 Expansion Teams Jul. 25th, 2008 @ 08:36 am

Who do you think will be the two teams in 2011?

I think Vancouver is certain to be one since they interviewed Steve Nash in a Whitecaps kit. Will the other be Portland or Montreal? Or somewhere else?

The Clean Sheet May. 22nd, 2008 @ 10:49 am

Does anyone know if MLSnet.com stopped carrying Tino Palace's "The Clean Sheet"? I looked forward to that every week and I've not seen it since the season started! I sent an email to tcsresponses@yahoo.com but didn't get a reply.

i wanted to bring this up and hear what people think:  give the new philly franchise a year to settle in and try and make a playoff spot just like everyone else has done in the past, but then:

starting in 2011, i propose these changes:

1.  MLS, as our domestic league is titled,  changes its name to the AMERICAN PREMIERSHIP or something similiar.. maybe NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERSHIP since TFC is with us now.. but essentially, i want to hear it called the premiership or something that really sets our league apart from the other US sports..

2. switch to a european table format.  top team in the entire league wins the Premiership Cup.

3. mls cup now becomes another competition much like the carling cup is in england. just the top flight gets in and they duke it out through the year.

4. introduce goal line technology as well as two more refs on the sidelines

5. fade out the salary cap (which, if anything, will eventually happen)

6.  C Ronaldo moves to chivas usa to play with Theo Walcott as we win the league for the third year in a row

what do you think?

» 24 days until opening kick!
How many of you will be attending your local team's opening match? I'm far away from my local (DC United) these days living on the west coast but I'll still be cheering for my boys in black. Looks like I'm going to have to get DirectKick again, though as quite a few DCU games won't be on ESPN according to the schedule.

Looking forward to having Seattle in '09!

Predictions?

Im going to go ahead and say New England 2-1.

Mostly because there is something in New Englands water right now that just makes every team from their win.
» MLS Cup 2007 - Revolution v. Dynamo
On Sunday, November 18, 2007 the New England Revolution will face the Houston Dynamo in MLS Cup 2007 at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.

For those interested in sitting in the supporter's section for the team you choose to support, you can purchase tickets at this web site.

If you happen to be a Revs fan looking at going to the game, please come over to my journal and leave a message, and I'll provide information on where and how the Midnight Riders and Rev Army are celebrating the weekend, including which hotel we are staying at.

I live in the Los Angeles area and get Fox sports network but they are not showing the game tonight. I am pretty pissed off. It is just so sad that its the final playoff game before the cup and its not even getting on tv. What is wrong with people? This is ridiculous. Im furious.

Another one bites the dust...

As a die-hard Red Bulls/Metros fan, this frustrates me to no end! What is it going to take to get a coach to stick with NY???
