Hi all /waves/

Emma here. Miracles fan from day one, but never actively involved in the fandom (too busy cursing ABC's ineptitude and weeping over the cancellation I guess, though I did campaign for the DVDs and lust after cheer over the Canadian airings.)

The wonderful deejay and the fab killabeez - whom you all know - have inspired me to join them at Sweet Charity, a charity auction where fandom gets to do good. I've just started writing Miracles fic and would love to write the fandom for at least one of my winning top 3 bids.

There are fic and videos available for bidding in many fandoms, but IMHO we *need* more Miracles fic and vids!

I hope you'll check out the site and consider bidding for such a good cause.

Hi, I'm your friendly invisible mod. Y'all probably had no idea, because until today the _moderator_ line on the profile page said something about thran. There was an old, old community bio up there too. Well, I created this comm and thran is me and I am gelasius, if you follow me; and I am invisible because it just so happens that I drifted out of Miracles fandom almost as quickly as I fell into it. This is a sad state of affairs that I am slowly remedying.

However! If there is still any sort of interest in keeping this community running, awesome. If someone else, someone more involved perhaps? would like to wield the mighty mod hammer in my place (and maybe change the blah layout, etc, etc), drop me a comment here or email me at gelasius at livejournal and it shall be done.

We know you're looking forward to April 19 as much as we are -- who could forget the date "Miracles" is being released on DVD? Its release is a triumph for "Miracles" fans -- and our last big stepping stone to future "Miracles" projects.

Which means that this is our last big chance to act -- and your big chance as "Miracles" fans to show your support for the show! We need fan support more than ever to show how much interest there is in watching Paul, Alva and Evie on the small screen.

With your support, here's our gameplan:

1) For all "Miracles" fans to purchase the DVD's ASAP

DVD NEWS: IT'S A GO!

The rumors have been confirmed. "Miracles" will be released on DVD on April 19, 2005.
It will include all 13 produced episodes; the six that originally aired on ABC,
plus the seven never-before-seen-in-America episodes. There will also be commentary tracks and various extras.

Okay, for anyone at all reading this who might even be remotely interested, here's the latest poop on Angus Macfadyen's current filming schedule, definitely confirmed fresh this very morning by Angus Macfadyen hisself (woohoo!).

He is:

1. Portraying "Patrick Nunzio" in 'The Virgin of Juarez'.
2. Portraying "Bill Plummer" in 'The Pleasure Drivers'.
3. Portraying "Bobby" in 'Fatwa'.
3. Portraying "Tenderloin Tony" in 'Pool Hall Prophets'.
4. Portraying "Jack" in 'Knights of Impossingworth Park'.

He is not filming 'When We Were Modern' after all (Jason Isaacs is doing it instead).

The films 'Hamlet Unzipped' and 'Europa' remain unscheduled at present.

I sent my Kral Interview question in to miraclestv.com before it was pirated, and I do not wish my good and recognizable fannish name - "AlvaFan" - to be associated with that Web site in any manner whatsoever. I have the basic right to insist that the name be taken off there, as I do not wish for its continued usage by such people as a form of false credential, or merely kept there out of some sadistic need for vindictive spite. I have made these requests privately for months to no avail. I cannot believe that they now expect me to involve a lawyer just to have back what is rightfully mine: my on-line identity. As a further example of just how sad these people truly are, please note the only reply I have ever received (yesterday) from them: "Please be advised that we have been counseled not to resond to your e-mails on this subject and are unable to discuss this matter further. MiraclesTV.com"

Now, I would think that all any netiquette abiding group of people would do is to simply remove any name upon request! =/
