MOD // Welcome (again) & Icon Installment
Wow, thank you all for joining us so quickly! [info]teflon_heart and I suspected maybe two people would check us out... I think we underestimated a little, eh? ;D Thank you all so very much for helping us grow so large in a single day! :D

Remember, the official "icontest" bit of this community will not begin until next Monday. You may still, however, post any POTO icons you have already made. :D

Other things we need:
We already know about the screencaps on imdb.com. If you know of any good sites for screencaps that aren't on that site, please feel free to let us know!

The only thing I do differently from your icons is I add text. You can do that with MS Paint, too, but it's a bit more of a pain in the ass. Besides that, though, all I really do is resize and change colors around, as well. :D

Oh, all over the place. I usually just do a google for good fonts. The majority of those are simply Verdana, though. >>;

The LJ community [info]fontgrab has also been helpful. :)

I used the shapes/rectangle function. I made a box, and then pulled on the corners until it fit around the text. I screwed with the opacity, then I put the text over it and voila! :D

hrm, silly LJ didn't make the link right in the main info page...or at least the link took me to an error page.

Do you see in the link where there's a left bracket *<* ? that should be &*lang* without the stars in it. Hopefully it'll work then? Or perhaps it's my computer being weird? I think LJ is too smart for it's own good sometimes
