Okay, I need some favors. My friend and I were just talking about songs that remind us of Good Omens, and she named a few that I've never heard... So I was wondering, if anyone has any of the following songs, could I trouble you to slap 'em on yousendit? :D

Thanks SO much in advance.

By the by, if you need extra motivation... They'll help me write fic. Lots of fic. Hot, sweet, fluffy Crowley/Aziraphale fic. Like really frothy hot chocolate with marshmallows. Little marshmallows. Lots of them.

Terribly sorry if this is questionable and/or annoying. ^^

"When the Angels Sing" and "That's the Reason" by No Angels

"(I'm Always Touched) By Your Presence, Dear"; "Wonderful", and "Oh God" by Annie Lennox

EDIT: If you have any other songs that remind you of Good Omens, I'd like to have those too. =D Musicwhore, here.

EDIT x 2: That includes hymns. Me love hyms. *is wiccan* One thing goin for the Christians is that they have pretty music. ^^

Again, if it's not appropriate for LT, I'll take it right away. Sorry. And thank you. *scampers*

How about Closer by Nine Inch Nails?

Spiritualized's I Think I'm In Love ...

Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anemone ...

Oh wait, sorry, that'd get you dirty dark angsty sex fic.

Hmmm ... damn, I'm seriously lacking sweet fluffy C/A music. Must go away nd think about this and scowl at the music collection.

I wish I had one of those to send to you... alas.

I suggest the song "Look Back in Anger" by David Bowie.

Entire songs never end up reminding me of GO... usually it's just a certain line... or just the chorus... I actually listed a few songs a while ago, lemme look 'em up...

There's Def Leppard's "Armageddon It"... but I admit that's only on my little list because of the title 'cause what little I got from the song itself isn't nearly enough.

The Goo Goo Dolls' "Black Balloon" sort of reminds me of GO: Comin' down the years turn over// And angels fall without you there// And I'll go on and// I'll bring you home and// All because I'm// All because I'm// And I'll become// What you became to me. I think I was reading a depressing fic and this song came on, and it just stuck with me. Others might not agree, but ah well.

And then there's Placebo's "English Summer Rain", which I love and when I realised the "basement" and "sky" could be interpreted (by rapid Good Omens fans only) as Hell and Heaven... well... I squee'd a little. Here:

Always stays the same, nothing ever changes,
English summer rain seems to last for ages.
Always stays the same, nothing ever changes,
English summer rain seems to last for ages.
I’m in the basement, you’re in the sky,
I’m in the basement baby, drop on by.
I’m in the basement, you’re in the sky,
I’m in the basement baby, drop on by.

Oh, and of course there's "Hallelujah"... but everyone seems to know that one. If you don't, though, I can send Rufus Wainwright's version. :)

If you want any of these based on my silliness, I can upload them. The Def Leppard one I can't send, though, sorry.

Well, the only version of "(I'm Always Touched)By Your Presence, Dear" I've heard was sung by Blondie.
Aww, geez, why did you have to wait to ask for this now? My "Good Omens" Playlist is on my other computer! ;)
"You've Got A Friend" and "Tapestry", as sung by Carole King
"A Foggy Day", Ella Fitzgerald and Louie Armstrong
"Home Now", No Doubt
"Talk About The Passion" and (of course) "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (and I feel fine)" by R.E.M.
Those are just right off the top of my head.

'Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy', by, appropriately, Queen

The lyrics that make me think of them are listed below:

Dining at the Ritz we'll meet at nine precisely
(One two three four five six seven eight nine o' clock)
I will pay the bill, you taste the wine
Driving back in style, in my saloon will do quite nicely
Just take me back to yours that will be fine (Come on and get it)

My two favourite Crowley/Aziraphale songs are Matchbox 20's "Downfall", and The Trews' "When You Leave".

Downfall:

I wonder how you sleep
I wonder what you think - of me
If I could go back
Would you have ever been with me
I want you to be uneased
I want you to remember
I want you to believe in me
I want you on my side
Come on
And lay it down
I've always been with you
Here and now
Give all that's within you
Be my savior
And I'll be your downfall

(The rest of the lyrics)

And... When You Leave:
Christmas eve in the back
of a church with a demon
He turns and says to me
"All is well you never fell, don't
kiss and till I swear to hell
I love you and I always will

(The rest of the lyrics, they're actually all pretty CrowleyZiraIsh)

I'll upload either if you're curious; I love both songs. =D

Swinging London by The Magnetic Fields. A blatant A/C song, with Armageddon references. The lead singer Stephin Merritt is friends with Neil Gaiman. *sees conspiracy*

I read your manifestoes and your strange religious tracts.
You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.

Planets crash, the world goes nova,
Sun explodes, all goes black.
You went off swinging London
Swinging London, and forgot to come back

You couldn't grok my racecar, but you dug the roadside blur.
You weren't into my airplane, but you loved the whirling world.

I fail horribly at yousendit, but "Invincible" by Okgo is worth looking for..reminded me instantly of the book.
Lyrics: "When they finally come to destroy the earth, they'll have to get through you first/ I bet they won't be expecting that."

"Everything Falls Apart" by DogsEyeView, if nothing else for the line "the devil's not in the details, no, the devil is in my pants."

I don't know if this is just me and my wild imagination, but almost every song on Imogen Heap's Speak for Yourself reminds me of C/A-ness, and I love them because none of the lyrics directly mention heaven, hell, angels, demons, etc. It's all about the subtlety! My favourites (and what I invision when listening to them):

Headlock (C/A post-Almost-Apocolypse being stubborn and not admitting that they love each other, ohoho)
Goodnight & Go (Crowley assessing his relationship with Aziraphale and deciding that it's more than just platonic...I-I want to see someone write a fanfic (not songfic) inspired from this)
Loose Ends (C/A having relationship troubles)
Hide and Seek (This reminds me of the scenes where everyone is rushing toward Lower Tadfield through the scenes where Adam is telling Beelzebub and Metatron who's boss)
Daylight Robbery (this one I see as an exclusively Crowley song, everything about it just grins "Flash Bastard")
Just For Now (Aziraphale and Crowley as an established couple, and bickering back and forth, then having hot, wild make-up sex. Lather, rinse, repeat, ohoho...I'd totally love to see a fic of this too T^T)

I upped the whole album for ya here.

Well, Meat Loaf's "Testify" reminds me of the book for some reason I can't put my finger on;
http://www.lyricattack.com/m/meatloaflyrics/testifylyrics.html

Then there's the Pogues, but theirs are more Hastur and Ligur than C&A;

"Boys From The County Hell"
Stay on the other side of the road ’cause you can never tell
We’ve a thirst like a gang of devils, we’re the boys of the county hell
(H&L would so sneak this CD down from Earth.)

"If I Should Fall From Grace With God",
If I should fall from grace with God where no doctor can relieve me
If I'm buried 'neath the sod but the angels won't receive me
Let me go boys, let me go boys
Let me go down in the mud where the rivers all run dry

(Brings back bad memories and results in them destroying the CD and never speaking of it again.)

"The Turkish Song Of The Damned"
I come old friend from Hell tonight across the rotting sea
Not the nails of the cross nor the blood of Christ can bring you help this eve
(Such a Hastur's-revenge-fic song.)
