Also two more articles of interest related to today: BLAM museum Fan Exhibit the former in particular is about a proposed plan by the group leaders of the Bruce Lee foundation(Linda Emery & Shannon Lee), concerning an exciting sounding and ambitious "action museum" building in Seattle! The foundation organised a memorial and celebration events for this weekend. |

An article appeared in today's South China Morning Post(HK) about the owners decision to take Bruce Lee's Cumberland road property off the housing market. Proprietor Yu Panglin is apparently discussing plans with the Bruce Lee Club based in Hong Kong to restore the house(previously a 'love hotel') into a museum/memorial gallery. The site was planned to be sold by Mr. Yu to raise funds for the Sichuan earthquake disaster.

| [ | Current Mood |
| | content | ] | I am in this Bruce Lee kind of a mood. So i have been having Bruce Lee Marathons when i turn the TV on . And i came accross this on a VHS,which i didnt know i had . The tape also had the TV pilot for KUNG FU,the second series .Which featured Brandon Lee. Carradine had wanted Brandon to be his co star, but this didnt get off the hround when Brandon started doing movies . So it was re cast and set in present day San Francisco ,instead of the old west ,with that other white dude .
So everything els on this tape was noted, and luckily i let it play a bit before turing it off,to see i had the credits for Marlowe .
I assume i taped it year and years ago .And i know i watched it before, but only the Bruce parts . I do not remember watching all of it,...ever. You just went to the Bruce parts ,and watched them over and over . But i am more into aesthetics now .. so i said hmmm,,COOL ! Lets watch ~! And boy i was ever surprised.
The cast is like a whos who .
Well James Garner of course, pre everything TV he ever did.
Uncle Fester is in it ,which is post The Addams Family . Carrol O'Connor is in it ,pre All In The Family . A very young Rita Moreno is in it . Gayle Hunnicut ,George Tyne ,H.M. Wynant. Like they are all old time TV stars, whos faces you just know. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064638/fullcredits#cast
And then of course it was Bruce Lees first American movie role, ever . http://www.tcm.com/thismonth/article.jsp?cid=88757&mainArticleId=154968
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX2H6LI_wm0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAP_JJPsFV4
Its complete 60s cheeze ..but i had a great time watching it. If youve not ever seen it before,i highly recommend it ! |

[Oct. 17th, 2007|01:17 am] |
found this lurking on youtube. not a huge fan of the song, but it's put together nicely and really put me in the mood to go rewatch a bruce film. it also makes it obvious that bruce films can still stand up against modernity. he was ahead of his time.

There's an article about Bruce, his influence, and the upcoming movie "Finishing the Game," a satiric comedy about Hollywood trying to find a Bruce replacement to, well, finish The Game of Death.
