narrow box help [21 Sep 2008|11:45pm] starberri_babii hi ^___^ I really want to edit my journal so that the boxes that my journal entries are in are not as big. At the moment they are 18cm wide and i want them to be 12cm wide. I don't have a paid account and I have looked all over the net to try and find out how to do this. Can anyone help me please????? quick question about friend's entries page [07 Sep 2008|07:03pm] xprettyflamingo hi, i'm in the process of changing my layout but i can't seem to figure out how to get my friends' entries to line up with the entry box. they seem to stretch out too wide to fit inside the parameters of the box.. if that makes sense. i'm using a layout for the s2 smooth sailing preset. any advice would be greatly appreciated. :) Help Out

Text Help: Color & Location [24 Jul 2008|05:55pm] swtcamden Hi there! I am currently working on a new layout and have two totally unrelated questions. My layout is Flexible Squares, and I have a paid account. :D 1. On my entry/reply pages, I am trying to find the coding that will change the dark green text color of the "From, Subject, Message," etc. Here is a screencap of it on my current layout, and I circled the dark green text in red. I have been searching everywhere in my coding but can't find it. It could quite possibly be a stupid error on my part, but I'd like to get it changed as the dark green looks even worse on the new layout I've created. 2. I know how to change the mood, music, and tags text in the S2 system, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the "location" text, as I've seen it done on someone else's lj. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'll be eternally indebted to you. Thank you very much! [13 Jul 2008|07:25pm] christwhy I used to have a different livejournal with a layout that someone else made. I can't remember where I got the layout or who made it or anything like that, but where the comment links are to each entry they had "read", "comment", "add" (as in add to memories), and "change" (as in edit the entry). I want to do that to my layout on here, so my question is how would I put the "add to memories" and "edit entry" links next to my comment links? I'm sorry I'm not too good at explaining things so if this is confusing please let me know and I'll try to explain again... and I have a plus account, I don't know if that matters in this case but I thought I'd throw it in there since it says to in the rules. userpics in generator [10 Jul 2008|12:33pm] runawayballista I'm pretty new to S2, here. I've tried fiddling with my layer myself, nicking some properties from other layout source codes, but nothing seems to have worked, so... I'm trying to create a layout-level layer based on Generator; what I had done was copy the source code in its entirety and gone to go edit things myself. But what I'm trying to do is get userpics to show up in every entry on all pages (especially recent entries page). Can anyone tell me some properties I could set for that? Thanks! 1 Idea Help Out

Also, apologies if this has been asked before ... I looked through the archives, but couldn't find what I needed. My coding skills are very rusty and the LJ CSS is somewhat foreign to me. I really like the layout I have (Tabular Indent by Steve Freeman), but is there anyway to hide/remove the "View: Archive," "View: Friends," "View: User Info," and "View: Website" links from the top navigation box?? I am having a problem with a cyber stalker looking at my site. This person is not very bright and quite lazy. If I can hide the links from the navigation box then I'm pretty sure I'll be safe, and that's the only way I can think of to keep them from going to my archives or reading my friends' page. Any help or advise in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Help Out

I was wondering if someone could explain the major differences between paid account and free plus account. All the pros and cons as well. I've read that s1  is more flexible? What kind of things can you do on a paid account that you can't on a plus account? Besides the fact that there are no ads and you get more icons, why upgrade?  Can someone give me examples on what can be done with a paid account that can't be done on a free account? However, when you click "comment" it takes you to a page that looks the same as the main page. I'd like it to go to the standard LJ-comment page. How do I do this? Need Some Help. [05 Apr 2008|09:43pm] mugglecrazed Hey Everyone. I need some help with my layout. My first problem is that I can't figure out what the theme or layout of this journal is. It has a sidebar going down the left side that seems like it's a custom text one. Also, I know it isn't generator because the boxes aren't separate. Can anyone help? Also. I'm working on modifying expressive right now and I can't seem to find a code to fix this one problem. The Text in the header is all the right color, Except for the page you are on. Here is what it looks like It's Unreadable on my white header. Anyone know how to get it to be the black-ish color? Also. My final question is, if anyone knew how to hide the Journal Name.
