Welcome!

A couple FAQ's you might be thinking:
-- And just who are you?
Hiya, my name is Luna. No, it's not my real name but everyone calls me that. I'm a 25 year old bisexual female living in Northern Virginia. I work in Washington DC as an admin assistant for an undisclosed Federal Administration (one of the boring ones). Here's a pic of me, because I'm a camwhore.

-- What exactly are your political affiliations?
Pretty much summed up here. I'm quite liberal & left-leaning, but mostly in line with the Kennedy/Clinton school of popular Democrats; I've been registered with the party since I got my first voting card. I care deeply about the environment, properly funding our schools, ensuring all Americans have decent health care, protecting reproductive freedoms, ending discrimination, etc. My single biggest concern right now is the War in Iraq, so you will see me posting about that a lot.
Something to note: I can be conflicted and confusing sometimes. For example, I'm Christian and believe in God. However, I am strongly against anything like prayer in school or teaching that evolution is a "theory". Why? Because the constitution says separation of church & state and I think it's a damn good concept. Sometimes I contradict myself, and take positions that surprise people. Dissent can be a good thing.
-- What can I expect here posting wise?
Lots and lots of article links, mostly of the "I hate the Bush Administration" variety, with snarky commentary and caps lock abuse. Sometimes I copy & paste articles just so you don't have to register for more online content. I have a huge thing for political cartoons and often post my favorites, but I usually cut-tag them to save your flist layout.
Since I live in Northern Virginia, work in DC, and know lots of people in Maryland, I tend to talk about the political climate of these states more than say, stuff happening in Utah. However, I do try to keep a national/international focus when I can.
Other issues you'll see me commenting on are the War in Iraq, saving Social Security, Religion, Gay Marriage & Equality, Reproductive Freedoms, etc.
-- I'm a republican and/or conservative, but I love to read different viewpoints and engage in intelligent discussions or debates. Can I join?
Honestly, this is probably not the place for you. This journal is more about me being able to rant & scream about what I see as a corrupt facist administration that wants to take away all my rights, not about debate & discussion & talking things over rationally. There is a time & place for that stuff, but sometimes people just need a safe hide-out. A big reason for starting this journal is my desire to be respectful of my conservative friends (believe it or not, I do have some of those and I love them dearly) by not shoving my anger in their face in my regular journal.
-- I hate you and think all liberals are stupid. Can I join this community and flame you?
ACK! ::hides:: Go away please. Try flaming
-- Why is the meaning of the site name?
Well, I'm a Liberal, and I'm full of Rage™... hence the joining of the two. Make sense?
-- It says "community" in the URL, so why can't I post here?
Because this isn't really a community, but a personal journal that I set up as an LJ "community account" that only I could post to, so I wouldn't have to keep logging in & out. I got the idea from
-- Why is your Liberal Rage™ trademarked? Is this an elitist reference I wasn't let in on?
Sorry, can't tell you! Heh, no, it's just a dumb joke that amuses me too much. My liberal rage is free for all to incorporate!
-- Um... what's the deal with the penguins?
I like fuzzy baby arctic animals. Plus, it's been proven in study after study that penguins are the most tolerant, left-leaning, gay friendly animals in all the wild kingdom.
