THIS IS A MODERATED COMMUNITY. THIS MEANS THAT YOUR POST WILL BE PUT IN A QUEUE UNTIL IT IS EITHER ACCEPTED OR REJECTED. YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL SAYING WHETHER YOUR POST HAS BEEN REJECTED OR NOT. IF YOU ARE UNSURE AS TO WHETHER YOUR POST HAS BEEN REJECTED OR NOT YOU MAY COMMENT HERE AND HERE ONLY! REPEATED REJECTED POSTS WILL PISS US OFF AND RESULT IN A BANNING. TO AVOID THIS, READ AND ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING:

RULES
1. You must be a member to post & request. Please join with the username you are going to use the layout on. If you are requesting for a community layout, request with the moderator/maintainer's username - join here.
2. Post as an entry NOT in the comments and NOT on someone else's post - post your own request.
3. When requesting a layout, use the layout request form of your choice. There is an explanation here for most of the request form as well as a visual help page here. Remember the lj-cut, subject line (!!! layout request !!!) and hexcodes for colours!
4. We don't edit graphics, add background music, page transitions OR changing what mood/music says overrides. Don't ask for them! We do image maps provided you give us the image and where you would like what links.
5. If you are posting images, just give the link. If you are using images in a layout, you must upload them to your own server [e.g. www.photobucket.com] - do NOT steal bandwidth by using a link off another site than your own.
6. No cross posting!! This means requesting a layout somewhere else and ending up with two people making you a layout!! ROAR!
7. Before you post, check the userinfo and the recent page to see if there's any posts from the mods - you need to pay attention to our posts!! Make sure we're open too and not on hiatus.
8. Don't post in our personal journals or add us to your friends list. You can add the community journal, but not ours, unless you have our permission. Don't email, IM or ask a mod to email or IM you. Cos we won't. All questions can be answered on this or your own request page.
9. You may not request more than one layout per month. If you request on the 15th of the month, you cannot request again till the 16th of the next month.
10. Don't post questions about overrides or ask for help, everything_lj is for that. This is a LAYOUT REQUEST community. Visit freelayouts or spiralbound_lj for premade layouts.
11. Dnt tYp3 lykE dis, don't use marquees, don't type in CAPS or bold or in a bigger font or put any fancy effects on your writing - we can see it just fine as it is!
12. Credit is appreciated - see here for details. Don't claim you made the layout. Also, don't steal someone else's layout from here!!
13. No advertising of any kind: communities, personal journals, bands, websites etc etc. You can use community_promo for that. If you do, not only will your post be deleted, you will be banned and your post will be marked as spam!
14. No off-topic posting: this is a community for LIVEJOURNAL layouts only. Repeat: LiveJournal. Not DeadJournal, UJournal, Diaryland or whatever host you have your website on.
15. Be nice!

WARNING!!!
You WILL be banned for the following:

contacting a moderator through their journal/IM/email/friends page etc
crossposting
posting 3x whilst the community is on hiatus
advertising anything
using an alternative username after you've been banned once - we will report you to LJ Abuse!
stealing a layout made for another user
pissing any of the mods off!

If you get banned, you'll get a rejection saying why. If you wish to appeal it, email layoutsforlj@gmail.com.

You can see how many layouts we've got to make by looking here in the memories - we add requests there and remove them when they're complete to give users an idea of how many we have to get through. Your layout will be emailed to you from layoutsforlj@gmail.com - if you have any trouble with your overrides, make sure you reply to a comment left by whoever is making your layout on your request post. Don't email us back because it goes to all three mods and this is of no use to you!!
