SUMMARY: (Two parts, first in Kakashi’s POV and second in Iruka’s.) Kakashi has only watched the ever-joyful Iruka from afar, but when he gets close he can see—and truly witnesses—the pain that Iruka is hiding inside.

DISCLAIMER: If I owned Kakashi and Iruka there would have been a lot more of both of them in chapter 420!

WARNINGS: Attempted suicide and angst?

NOTE: I felt bad for not putting up my planned smut...or my Valentine themed oneshot...so here’s something that just came to me. The parts are basically the same thing, but in difference perspectives. I tried to repeat a few though processes, so make it more...I don’t know. If you find any errors please tell me. Oh and I just discovered that Genma's senbon obsession is contagious. I've been doing some sewing for school (don't ask XD) and have been absently munching on my big wool needle for about two hours or three. Without being able to stop event though I know it's not good for my teeth ! So there.

I'm going to update to this thread since while the first one hints at KakaIru the second one only contains Kakashi and Naruto and the 3rd one will have Iruka and Naruto in it. I might do a special ending just for the comm if I can think of one.

Edit: Wow, so many responses in such a short amount of time! Well, since stinky_horowitz mentioned that midnightdiddle is still active on LJ, I PMed her and she's already gotten back to me. She apologized profusely for not answering when I contacted her before, and has extremely graciously given her blessing for me to post the story. So that's a load off my mind. She even wants to read it, which surprised me. So now i have permission and I have betas, when I started the day with only half a cupcake and some split-ends. Now I guess I really have to finish this thing and post it, huh. So troublesome. ;)

Premise
It's five years after the nine-tailed demon fox wrecked havoc on Konohagakure, two years before the Uchiha Massacre. The last war's over, but the battlefield has only changed. The dirtiest jobs are still around, and someone has to do them.

That's where ANBU comes in.

Konoha's Special Assassination and Tactical Squad takes the best and brightest, the strongest and fastest. Arms them with masks and tattoos, and sells their blood to the highest bidder. The mortality rate is sky-high, and the job only gets uglier. ANBU need new ninja, and they need them now.

Information
Fallen Leaves is a collaborative writing project aimed at people 18-years-old and above--and it's not for the squeamish. We deal in death, gore, violence, sex, and psychological issues, and we're looking for other people to do the same. But that's not all of what we're about. I don't know if anyone else has read the latest chapter of Naruto, theres a raw floating around at naruto manga returns http://groups.msn.com/NarutoMangaREturns/420.msnw?Page=1 but it's really good and has a nice scene between Kakashi and Iruka, I couln't read the japanese but it looks really good and I can't wait for the translated part of it to come out

This has been bugging me and umm I was wondering if I could ask a request to anyone who wants to take it.
I would really like to see a fanfic that goes along with the fact that Kakashi and Iruka have the same blood type...idk
Like one goes on a mission and comes back with EXTREME blood loss and the other goes to the hospital for a blood transfusion. Then there's the whole thing of saving life yatta yatta and they have each others blood inside them.....and of course they get together if they already aren't.

Yeah just throwing that plot bunny out there for you guys to make a stew with.

Story Title: Dark Humor.
Chapter Title: Secrets of the Musicbox.
Rating: R, NC-17 later.
Genre: It goes from Angst to Humor back and forth before settling on Drama.
Pairing: Hatake Kakashi/Umino Iruka, mentions of past Morino Ibiki/Umino Iruka.
Summary: When Kakashi chooses Iruka as his 'prize', Iruka angsts and is confused, annoyed and exasperated in great amounts. Ibiki is not amused. Obito just wants something spicy and for Rin's canary to finally kick the bucket.
Word Count: +/- 3 900.
Author Notes: I suppose the news about Chapter 420 of the manga inspired me to get off my ass and update my WIPs. I'm kinda surprised this one was the most cooperative of the three, considering I had more written for Housebreaking Iruka. But, well, the muses, can't live with them, can't live without them. I'm kinda amused how this plot is more of a spiral than a straight line, momentum gathering and spinning things slowly out of control. I hope the scene-shifts don't feel abrupt, even if we visit different places all over. Comments and nitpicks entirely welcome.
