 | 08:20 pm - Whitby Bring and Buy This is something that people who haven't got the itinerary from WGW HQ might not know about, and I thought might want to know about. I'm not really qualified to post this, not really knowing Mel, but I thought it better to post it, in case people aren't aware of it, than not post it, and people not know.
There is a special fundraising request for Lucy*Fur this April:
"Could you spare a single item for out Bring & Buy? We're asking as many people as possible to donate 100% of the procedes of a single item to our fundraising for Mel...All you need to do is take your item along to out Bring and Buy stall at the Met and tell our lovely helpers you're donating to Mel's Fund. Our usual Bring and Buy will run as normal, same time same place, same rules. alternatively we can take your Bring and Buy item to the Met for you if you leave it in the receptacles provided from 21.4.08 at the Spa Foyer, Whitby Gazette Office, Whitby Tourist Info"
Just thought I'd post it here in case people want to take it into account when doing their packing.

 | 08:02 pm - Radio Golgotha - News & Upcoming Events It has been an incredible first month. We have had hundreds of unique listeners tune in from as far away as Finland, Canada, Hong Kong and dozens from our home base in Tampa, FL. We are particularly happy to welcome out German visitors which have made up almost 20% of our listenership. Now that we have stablized some of the technical launch issues, we will continue to add to our library of albums so that there will new music in rotation everyday including some smaller, but very interesting regional talent.
We also have new sets from DJ Devious, Maus and DJ Xanthus set to premiere next week. In the next few months, we'll continue this trend with the programming shifting towards more Djs, more often. You'll hear club sets from England, Germany and all over the US.
Thanks for your continuous support!!

Hey guys I hope you don't mind us posting this here - we're trying to promote a Scottish Event

We are looking at a Rock/Goth club night, a Goth Ceilidh, with DJ after (& Raffle), and a Victorian Steam Train Ride, as well as plenty of pubs to explore!! (NO STALLS THIS TIME ROUND) We're trying to get an idea of how many people would be interested in coming along to this weekend so that we can look at a budget for the event........ let us know. Also as I mentioned we would be holding a raffle and would be looking for a few donations of prizes, any of you arty/crafy or business types out there who would like to donate a raffle prize please email me a queeny@offwithherhead.co.uk Further information on the event will be avaliable as and when we have it at http://agw.techmad.co.uk Thanks THE AGW ORGANISING COMITTEE!!!!!!!

I can only assume that he was invited back to an after party by some other goths, but I don't think he can find his way back to our cottage. Can you help? I would be grateful if anyone who knows where he is can help him get home. If he is with you and you are still in Whitby can you either bring him along to the 80s night or hand him back in at the met who have my contact details. If he has wandered home with you please email me on thegreatgonzo [at] livejournal.com

 | 08:30 am - Whitby Steps - Official opening ... Now I know a lot of people on this community would have been involved in giving donations to help the restoration of the 199 steps up to the Abbey. last week they had the official reopening of them ... so for all those that gave a donation at the Spa, Sexy Sunday, Creamy, Laughtons 80's night, The Alternative and elsewhere during the weekend a couple of years ago make sure you visit the steps this Whitby weekend to check they got us on that plaque!!!!
Or is there any plans for a Goth Gathering on the steps during the weekend to show our part in helping in the restoration?
