Jack's Mannequin is featured in this month's AP Magazine (the one with Forever The Sickest Kids on the cover). It's only an interview and a picture, but it's better then nothing right? haha.
I didn't read through the interview (because I had to leave) but I did skim through it, and I'm pretty sure it was basically talking about The Glass Passenger.
If no one scans it by tomorrow/Sunday, I'll scan it and post it :)

So.. over a week has passed, and I've tried putting off doing this, but I'm getting anxious. I ordered my cd at Warped Tour in Toronto and have yet to receive anything. I've e-mailed gomerch and have waited and waited for an answer, but nothing. I'm just wondering if anyone else here ordered theirs at the Toronto date and has received it, or heard anything from someone?
Or, if anyone has any information to help me in general, I would really appreciate it! I just want my cd haha :(

Since I missed out on getting tickets before they sold out for the Chicago show, I'm almost positive for my birthday my mom is going to get me tickets on StubHub. But because of how expensive they are, none of my friends would be going with me it'll just be me and my mom.
So I was wondering who else is going to the Chicago show and would any of you guys be interested in having a little LJ community meet up at the show?

Jacks Mannequin will be doing a secret show this FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10th @ THE VIPER ROOM in Los Angeles. The show is at 10:30 and tickets will be sold via walk up only. No price for tickets but I'm assuming it won't be too expensive.

I think that if there are any piano players in this community, they should begin posting piano tutorials on Youtube for Jack's Mannequin songs for all those people who don't feel like figuring them out themselves or aren't able to because they've been playing piano for like a month. Good idea? I think so.

This is fabulous! I was so happy when I saw. I hope Andrew is proud because we all are!
Jack's Mannequin's sophomore album "The Glass Passenger" (Sire/Warner Bros.) starts at No. 8 with 49,000 -- easily the highest charting set and best sales week for the band. Its first release, "Everything in Transit," spent just two weeks on the chart, bowing at No. 37 with 22,000.

I know it's been posted before when everything sold out pretty much the day of on ticketmaster, and all the pre-sales..but does anyone happen to have an extra ticket to either of the Troubadour shows in LA? I'm pretty desperate, and there's really no more tickets on eBay. It's really weird how all this ticket business went down.. I'm [still] really upset about not being able to get tickets. These shows sold out first on pre-sale, and sold out in less than a minute on ticketmaster.. so lame :(
I'm still trying to get tickets for both of these.. so if anyone knows someone with an extra or suggests anything that won't make me go too broke, please steer me there.
If i continue to have no luck with getting tickets.. I plan on showing up to the venue and seeing if people have extras there. It's always worked for me when I go to sold-out shows without tickets...so hopefully i can get lucky again. Has anyone done this before, and for jack's?
Anything would help, thanks!

I just wanted to give my fellow Torontonians a heads up - the show is now completely sold out on Ticketmaster. But if you don't have a ticket or know someone looking for a ticket, don't fret! You can still get tickets (cheaper price, also!) from Rotate This or Sonic Temple. Do NOT pay $275 on TicketsNow (I still can't believe people would dare charge something like that!)

so for those of us who ordered the tgp vinyl... is it worth opening?? cause i mainly bought it as a collectors item type thing, but i'm curious as to what is actually inside but my dad was all like "it'll be worth more in the long run if you don't open it" but something tells me it wouldn't be worth very much anyway. idkkkkk!

I read on Wiki that for the Hammers and Strings tour the band is planning to play the whole album. Two questions:
Do you think this will include Miss California since it's a bonus track, I've been arguing with someone over this.

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I feel like there's more religion/God references in TGP than have ever been in Andrew's albums. There's multiple references in Drop Out -

What do you guys make of this? It seemed so out of left field I don't know what to think about it. I feel like he's never talked about religion before, and it's nice to see this other side we maybe never got a chance to/he's just discovered.

i dont know if anyone might be able to help me but i pre ordered TGP at a paramore concert, this summer and they said i would get it a day before or the day it came out, and its been a few days after the cd and i dont know anything. Could any of you guys point me to somewhere i could contact someone about it.

Hello everyone!
I'm Vicky... a [huge] SC/JM fan from the east coast :) I'm sure I know a lot of you here, considering i've met most of my good friends through Soco& Jack's shows. It's awesome. I usually don't use message boards, but recently joined livejournal. Just wanted to introduce myself to those of you who i haven't met on here yet! I currently live in Santa Barbara, CA for school. I'm from Long Island, NY though.
Also i had a request you guys might be able to help me out with:
For halloween, I am going to the San Diego show off the H&S tour, and i'm dressing up as my favorite dude, DR. J :D However, i need a little help finding a picture where you can see Jon's usual celtics outfit (jersey, shorts, knee socks, nikes, sweatband, arm bands, etc). I have most of my photos stored at home, so having a hard time matching his outfit. If you can post some pictures for me that would be great!

| Pre-Order Concerns |

I just wanted to know if anyone else who ordered the vinyl (or the vinyl and another package TOGETHER, as in on one order) is having trouble regarding the shipping of their purchase. I received an email saying they were delayed, but the delay doesn't seem to have abated.

EDIT:
I just spoke with GoMerch. If you're having trouble, I recommend calling them. (It's 4.10 on the West Coast,s o you have another hour or so before the weekend!) He informed me all packages of vinyls were sent out WEDNESDAY MORNING. I told him how my tracker wasn't reflecting that and he's like I'm seeing the same thing you are, and then he told me he'd give the UPS a call, and that it's possible because of the high volume, they might not have updated some of the trackers.
So the point of this is, all vinyls should have been sent out Wednesday morning, and it's possible that your tracker just wasn't updated. I'm getting a call back in an hour or an email explaining what's up with mine, so calling them is a good idea!
