About this community:
Hello! I am the moderator of this community (I've been a bit busy, so sorry if I have not responded to requests to be added). If I am not mistaken, my email address is located on the user info page [frillsss@gmail.com], so that is where I can be contacted regarding the community.

Anyway, the community is not open membership [meaning I must approve requests to be added] because:

1) I figure if anyone really wants to be in it that badly and wants to contribute, they'll let me know (otherwise anyone can add the community and read the posts)

2) Too many communities are full of nonsense posting, therefore I'd like to think if someone went through the trouble of being added in to the member list (see below on how to send in a request to be added), they won't be posting things like "OMG I <3 Virgin Suicides, here are some quotes I like" sort of teeny boppy things. This is here for us to share pictures and news and anything relevant to Sofia...articles/photos that might be hard to find, things that inspire her, etc. Obviously we all love her. That's why we're here :)

3) I started this as a personal journal so as to not subject anyone else on my private journal friends' page to my incessant posting about Sofia, so I'd like to keep the community small, or rather, well-contained. I quite like the members thus far, and I like that there have not been any nonsense posts (please see #2).

I hope that all of this makes sense, and does not offend anyone. And so, if you'd like to be added and you haven't been added already, and promise/pinky-swear to post quality Sofia fan posts, and share your goodies on her, please read below! Thanks!

Hello...I was wondering, may I join the community..? I have been reading it for a long time and I would like to share in this community. I have a article from a recent Vogue issue about Sofia and Marc Jacobs... hopefully, that is a quality Sofia fan-post. :)

Hi! Sorry I have not added you yet...I didn't get around to this comment until today. I'm having trouble figuring out how to add members right now [as a moderator I can manually add names to about 40 open fields in a list, but I am out of spaces, and I'm not sure how to generate more! Aaaa! I'm working on this...]!

I would like to be added to this community.I love sophia's artistic sensibility.It is amazing how consistent it is throughout all the work she does-ie , clothes,photographs,films, etc..she is jusy amazing. -By the way, I would like to purchase her photo book ...does anyone know where I could do so without spending a fortune?-Cristina

Hey there!
Just now I've put in a request to be added to your community, but just clicking a button seems such an empty gesture.I ought to back it up with some reasons why I would love to join your community: I've been reading your posts for a little while now, after getting here via a link at Life With Sofia (love that site! It really shows Sofia's great diversity). For me, Sofia Coppola is someone to look up to, to admire for all the right reasons: her sense of style, her sensitivity, her diversity,her wonderful films, the way she always stays true to her own taste and ideas...the list could go on and on, but I'll try to be brief now and just ask you in my most polite typing to please let me join :-)

:) No problem...I should've mentioned in the info that I get requests from LJ users who want to join in my e-mail, and so it may take a bit (especially if I am not at the computer) for a request to go through. I like your reasons for liking Sofia...I like that most of this community thinks that way too...I hate brainless and shallow celebrity worship so much!! She may be a celebrity, but there are better reasons to admire her!

will my request to be added be helped out any if i tell you i've been a fan of sofia since before even she was designing milkfed, back when she was hanging out with anna sui, and that when she did virgin suicides i went and saw it, by myself even!, because it was her directing it and i was so excited for her?

I can promise I won't post garbage by telling you i am a maintainer myself of two commmunities so i know EXACTLY what you mean. ;o)

I probably don't have much to contribute but I was sent in this direction by [info]sinful_caesar who showed me some exquisite pictures from Marie Antoinette, and I'm looking forward to keeping up-to-date with all things Sophia! :D
